I have trouble discounting Dr. Ted Noel’s Parkinson’s thesis. It takes concentration to cross your eyes, our brains are pretty hardwired to make coordination between them automatic. The videos show them happening too fast, under the wrong circumstances, for me to buy that she’s doing it on purpose. And the audio of that minutes-long coughing spell . . . painful. One of the emails even says that her symptoms line up exactly with PD. That could be a fake, of course - but what is the payoff to having people think she’s not going to be competent in 2021??
If Trump gets down to the wire thinking he needs a Hail Mary pass, he might point out how easily Hillary could go on live TV on a moment’s notice and demonstrate that she can hold her hands in normal positions without involuntary “finger rolling tremors” and that she can, while holding her head fixed, glance from a TV camera on her left to one on her right, and back, repeatedly, without one eye going out of alignment with the other.
According to Noel, she lets her drugs wear off, in effect goes into withdrawal for 3 days, before each debate. So her meds work well during the debate. But the following days, according to that theory, she would be worse and worse. The way to call for that demonstration would be to undergo it yourself, more or less casually, to show how easy and natural a thing it is to do - for a person with a normal neuro system.
According to Noel, the effects of Parkinson’s means she will get to where she will (Heaven forefend) feel worse than having a case of the flu, quite routinely. And finally all the time. 3 AM phone calls? Straight to voicemail. How do you invoke the 25th Amendment when a POTUS gradually becomes less and less competent? A really sticky situation, if such POTUS doesn’t step down voluntarily.
According to that, those 3-day preps for debates must be pretty hard on her, and Noel implies that they might not be good medical practice in the long run. Are we to have a POTUS who never makes public appearances?? Never have, in the modern era (after Harding).
