Yawn. Story is a nothing burger either way. The Russian elite did recall their kids at height of Russian invasion of Ukraine due to the bad optics of them living in the west in a time of war.
I’m having a hard time seeing why Russia would want to start a war with the US. As far as I know, there’s nothing like Japan’s oil having been cut off before WWII. Putin’s government isn’t about to fall unless he has a war.
Even for Russia, going to war is a big deal and full of imponderables. What does China do? For example. Do they force Israel to use nukes? That doesn’t go well for anyone, including Russia.
Sorry, I just have a hard time believing that there isn’t something up.

WASHINGTON (CNN) — It’s not a new Cold War. It’s not even a deep chill. It’s an outright conflict.
US-Russia relations have deteriorated sharply amid a barrage of accusations and disagreements, raising the stakes on issues ranging from the countries’ competing military operations in Syria, disputes over Eastern European independence and escalating cyber breaches.
“This is a conflict, there should be no doubt,” said Matthew Rojansky, director of the Kennan Institute at the Wilson Center, on the US-Russia confrontation.
What I find truly frightening is no one in America seems to be paying attention and is way more fixated on Trump/Hillary while 0bama is ...is poking a hornets nest!
