I don't want to sound like an a**hole about this, but I'd rather hang around with my dog .. or, in my case, my cats .. rather than associate with an active liberal or democrat.
Well, I certainly don’t mean to be at all argumentative, but folks in truly Red states (like Texas) probably don’t know what it’s like in Blue states (like Mass). I do what I can, but I don’t get in people’s faces. Often it’s enough to demonstrate that I am not a bigoted, moronic, judgmental Nazi. I’m just a guy. I just want to be left alone. And “some” of these Liberal ideas seem “a little funny”. I keep it mild.
