[SEPTEMBER 12, 2016] THE GEORGE W. BUSH WHITE HOUSE ‘LOST’ 22 MILLION EMAILS
NEWSWEEK ^ | SEPTEMBER 12, 2016 | NINA BURLEIGH

Posted on 10/11/2016 8:07:58 PM PDT by seastay

Clinton’s email habits look positively transparent when compared with the subpoena-dodging, email-hiding, private-server-using George W. Bush administration. Between 2003 and 2009, the Bush White House “lost” 22 million emails.

Like Clinton, the Bush White House used a private email server—its was owned by the Republican National Committee. And the Bush administration failed to store its emails, as required by law, and then refused to comply with a congressional subpoena seeking some of those emails. “It’s about as amazing a double standard as you can get,” says Eric Boehlert, who works with the pro-Clinton group Media Matters. “If you look at the Bush emails, he was a sitting president, and 95 percent of his chief advisers’ emails were on a private email system set up by the RNC. Imagine if for the last year and a half we had been talking about Hillary Clinton’s emails set up on a private DNC server?”

Okay fine, clap all of them in irons along with Hillary. Works for me.

"Please clap."

Yep I remember that. She said she would (fill in the blank), which completely trivializes liberals alleged serious concerns about sexual harassment and related issues.

In other words, its OK if Democrats do certain things but not Republicans.

Considering how far in the gutter we got with Bill Clinton its absolutely astounding to see how prudish the liberals are over the Donald Trump tape. Their virgin ears have never heard such talk???,,that’s what we are expected to believe???

Personally, technology was a lot more innocent in Bush’s first term in 2000.

BUT, while there is no real excuse to “lose” anything permanently, there is no evidence that W. Bush was instructing the loss by deletions and demanding scrubs of 30,000 more emails, and moving servers around from her home in NYC to a bathroom in a small Colorado computer company, telling them to delete every 60 days.

Who does that?

This isn’t difficult. If they’re making out that what Bush did was wrong/illegal (where’s their proof?) Then what makes it RIGHT for them!!??

If they knew this, then what prevented them from pursuing justice in this matter? Wouldn’t it be dereliction of duty to leave it be? Yet that dereliction of duty is EXACTLY what Clinton is being accused of on all levels. She was accused of such way back when Nixon was around, and it’s not stopped. It has to stop somewhere. The line in the sand needs to be drawn to put an end to all of this obvious corruption.

You can’t use someone else’s corruption to justify your own. Are people REALLY that stupid???? Or is that level of stupid saved just for politicians?

If there is a double standard then it was set by Obama’s own FBI

I have DETESTED Newsweek since it’s horrendous magazine cover and coverage of the Duke University fiasco.

They don’t care about truth.

“No problem. Prosecute Hillary first, then go after Bush.”

Exactly. Appoint a special prosecutor for both and go after them. If they broke the law put them in jail. I don’t care who you are. Obey the damn law! No body should be above it!!! I am tired of this crap!!

“Imagine if for the last year and a half we had been talking about Hillary Clinton’s emails set up on a private DNC server?”

Then the whole thing would have gone nowhere. Instead, she set up a server in a broom closet in Colorado with a private contractor who was stupid enough to go online and solicit advice on how to delete files.

A hit piece. Media matters as a source you might as well use Hillary. I’d bet a fabrication extraordinaire.

It’s called moral equivalency. When you were a kid and were caught doing something bad, nothing worked like saying “well, Billy did it too”. It doesn’t matter. Hillary lied, got caught, and is trying to drag everyone into the gutter to help clear of her misdeeds.

Were the emails on an Insecure Private Server stored in a crappy crapper room ..... Don’t think so. I believe these emails were on a proper secure server but disposed of in an improper manner. Still questionable though.

Bunch of old BS.

http://prev.dailyherald.com/story/?id=344119&src=109

“A Microsoft Corp. document on the Bush White House’s e-mail problems states that Microsoft was called in to help find electronic messages in October 2003, more than two years before the problem surfaced publicly. October 2003 was the month that the Justice Department began gearing up its criminal investigation into who in the Bush administration leaked the identity of Plame, the wife of Bush administration war critic Joseph Wilson.”

All the e-mails were recovered.
