By now, certain GOP "leaders" are belatedly recognizing that their little failed coup has gravely endangered their control of the House and Senate. A sizeable portion of the base is now preparing to vote for Trump and pour napalm on everything else.

It is hard to overstate the stupidity of the backstabbers. Did they really think Trump was going to meekly step down without a fight? Could they seriously believe the GOP could win in 2020 after four more years of open borders and ever-expanding vote fraud?

The backtracking and weaseling has already begun, but that isn't going to be nearly enough. Not this time.
