Russia Outlines New Wartime Regime

Russia has outlined new plans for a wartime government regime, the Izvestia newspaper reported Tuesday.

The country's wartime strategy was fine-tuned following special military exercises, the newspaper wrote.

In the event of war, local governments, regional branches of the Interior Ministry, Emergencies Ministry, the Federal Security Service (FSB), and much of the National Guard, will now report directly to the military.

Previous plans had seen regional offices work independently and in partnership with local military forces, Izvestia wrote.

The new command scheme is hoped to mobilize citizens, businesses and factories more effectively, as well as protect local industry from enemy sabotage.

Russia launched a four-day civil defense exercise on Tuesday last week, involving some 40 million people across the country. The annual drills have been held since 2012, and test emergency contingency plans.

None of this is funny.

We could soon go to war with Russia. I don’t doubt it one bit. Obama and Clinton are extremely dangerous and enemies of the state.

-Hand to hand fight in outer space? :)
-Gets a ride to Earth but held P.O.W. in Russia?

I know I gagged a bit the first time I heard it, and a little bit each time after.

If it becomes a shooting war rather than just a proxy one, it might start in a neutral place, maybe like Syria, but it won’t end there.

The US bombed Deir Ezzor on behalf of ISIS.

That was one hell of a provocation, as well as a stunning revelation of the true battle lines in Syria.

It’s not Russia we need to worry about. It’s this White House.

Nuclear winter is only one problem. How about the collapse of infrastructure and transportation system? The current crops of food would not get to market.

We don’t grow food, we manufacture it with the aid of massive amounts of fossil fuels. With enough people dead and enough infrastructure destroyed, most of the world’s energy production would be kaput, and with it, the Green revolution.

Read Jared Diamond, “Collapse”. Modern civilization is fragile and interdependent. And that’s without nuclear winter factored in.

“Threads” made “Sophie’s Choice” look like a Teletubbies episode.

Heard of a van that is loaded with weapons,
Packed up and ready to go
Heard of some grave sites, out by the highway,
A place where nobody knows

The rich all have their bunkers and properties in New Zealand while we get f’d

Ha...New Zealand is one of the few countries that doesn't have an air force.

I hope all those expecting to hunker down in New Zealand will be studying the Chinese language ....something to do in the bunker to pass the time.
