I suspect b/c his district is small, his family has been there a long time, and he is Speaker, it gives them a sense of notoriety that they like.
Well, not jumping for JOY or anything, but Nehlen was an out of state paid-for agitator. He was NOT some (R) with a lengthy record of Conservatism.
Ryan seems to have a still-devoted following, though the bloom is off the rose for a lot more of us.
