I do believe that a number of the DC GOP types think it is Kabuki Theater. They scare their base with threats to the Second Amendment and the Rats scare their base with abortion.
While they seem to think they have this “deal” and can just keep the money fountain flowing the DC GOPe have failed to understand that the Rats are pursuing their agenda meanwhile and they are Playing the GOPe for chumps. Even worse, we have figured shit out for ourselves after three decades and have had enough.

With the compliance of government bureaus and the alphabet gestapos (IRS, FBI, DOJ, NSA, etc., easily manipulated and corrupted under an untouchable Executive Department, The States, and the People can see the results, and the options for remedies are non existent.
The Ninth and Tenth Amendments have, for all intents and purposes been eliminated.
I am capable of accepting the modification, change or elimination of Amendments 11 though 27, but 1 through 10 are sacrosanct and will trigger Civil War Zero, just as it would have done had the Bill of Rights not been created and adopted.
The Federal Papers and the proceedings of the Constitutional Conventions makes that crystal clear.
The Founding Fathers were literally unable to imagine a Barack Obama, or a Hillary Clinton.
Even farther into the realm of nightmare fantasy, for them, would be the Creation and acceptance of the ACLU (created and funded entirely by the Soviet Union,) The acceptance of the destructive corrosive effect of an Alinski, and the relentless attack on the Bill of Rights, without which we might now exist as 5, 6 or more separate nations.
It took 11 years to prepare a Constitution to submit to the States.
It took another four years to create and debate the Bill of Rights, without which The Republic would not exist.
Without the unaltered Bill of Rights, the Republic vanishes.
I absolutely agree with your thoughts. Trump will have a tough time with Congress. Trump will have to go over Congress’ head for support like Reagan did.
My thought was that Ryan will be better than Pelosi, not that Ryan is in any way ideal.
If Pelosi is in charge, she can call hearings and undermine Trump in a way Ryan would not. Pelosi would be very bad trumping (truly no pun intended) up normal every day govt activities to make it appear there are scandals around every corner. It would not be a pretty sight.
Well, I have no say over Ryan’s re-election. I am going to call my Congresscritter for clarification regarding his “support” but not endorse position of Trump. I hope he will support Trump presidency. I suspect he will...He will win my district regardless of my vote.
My GOP senator, Mark Kuck (aka Kirk) IL may not win...as I stated he is actively campaigning on issue that he does not endorse trump and brought Kasich in for campaign stumps with him...He may lose, and I really won’t care because he usually votes with the democrats. He is a real weasel! The other Senator is Durbin...what can i say?

Perhaps they want Hillary to do those things because they are secretly for her policies, but just do not want to take the blame for them. They pretend otherwise to keep their cushy lifestyle and their jobs and, if they are corrupt enough, to go from the commonplace to millionaires in only a short time, while only 47% of Americans still have jobs good enough to pay the high taxes required to support all that.
