She's sooooo lovely. Wish I had her poise blouse...
I think Shep "Burgundy" Smith said this.

But on a serious note, she and her children really do carry themselves with stature. I know we look back at etiquette schools as "old" and "outdated", but honestly, you can tell when someone actually HAS etiquette...like its extinct or at least an endangered species.
This weekend, I held the door open for two ladies, and one looked at the other and said, "See there are SOME gentlemen left in the world."
I know I should have been proud, but I was in a town with one of the largest Army bases in Texas, and she acted like this never happens. It truly made me sad.

she acted like this never happensThank you, sir. It doesn't anymore. The last time a man held a car door for me was about a dozen years ago. Of course, it was an elderly gentleman. I was shocked because it hadn't happened in such a long time that I stuttered thanking him. Don't remember the last man to hold a building door. This summer, a man in his late 30s slipped into a parking space I was waiting for and then mouthed off. Etiquette, civility, morals and values are fast becoming things of the past.

FWIW, I’ve been all over the US, and Texas is the only state where the majority of men —even the young ones—are still gentlemen. They always open doors for the ladies. It really stands out.
This lady really appreciates gentlemen like you, so don’t ever stop.
