Full title:

"Trump's grass-roots supporters line up to defend him, accuse political elite of exploiting the controversy"

At a GOP fundraiser in this picturesque swath of southeastern Wisconsin, Donald Trump was supposed to join the state’s popular congressman, House Speaker Paul D. Ryan, for their first joint campaign event Saturday.

But Ryan, the nation’s highest-ranking Republican who has struggled to embrace Trump’s candidacy, rescinded the invitation after a recording emerged of the businessman making vulgar comments about groping women.

When Ryan took the stage to speak Saturday, shock and anger over the incident was still palpable. But to Ryan’s disappointment, it was mostly directed at him.

This is a really good, highly professional article about Ryan's disastrous Sat. rally where he was just about booed off the stage for backstabbing President Trump. Looks to me like President Trump's going to get stronger due to this attemptd hit.

Trump only needs to say two words to put Hillary on her heels tonight: Monica Lewinsky.

Trump only SAID things. Bill Clinton DID things.

I’m not defending Trump’s remarks but they happened a long time ago in private when he was a private citizen.

The GOP elite was looking for an opportune excuse to dump Trump all along.

Whatever feelings of discomfort people with Trump’s remarks, the GOP’s craven behavior has sunk it to a new low.

We have seen this play out before, like the 2010 and 2012 elections where Republican elites helped destroy candidates they didn’t approve of. Rove even bragged about not helping candidates. If you want to know if Republican elites would rather lose with a candidate they don’t approve of, or accept a candidate chosen by the people and win, you need look no farther than those elections.

FU Paul Ryan, you dickless coward. I can't wait to see you and the rest of your establishment lickspittles answer for your duplicity.

Whether Trump wins or loses, the movement he began will continue to grow.

It would be a shame to throw away all this hard work because Trump made a private off color comment.

FWIW, BTW, he apologized. His accusers are not charitable about human failings.

This has been a political tsunami designed to wipe Trump out without reflection as to its importance or lack there of. The irony is that this is coming from Hillary CLINTON of “it’s just sex” fame.

Exactly, this has GOP establishment written all over it. Chaffetz running to the microphones at midnight Friday among other things proves it.

Virtually all you’ve heard from is GOP hacks and establishment over this.

This is their last ditch effort to destroy Trump. They’ve been sitting on it for 6 months.

That they are willing to completely destroy the party and country over it is very telling. Money will do that.

Well, maybe Shrillary "DID" her own share of "things."
I DON'T wanna know. Ugh.

True measure of friend is are they there when you are in difficulty?

The kind of people who head and run for the tall grass and disown you were never your friends in the first place.

If you think the first debate drew a lot of viewers, just wait until this one for tonight. It will be bigger than the Super Bowl! The whole nation, or at least those who are paying attention has been drawn into this drama. Nobody knows how it’s going to end. There are several possible outcomes.
I think the last time ‘the whole nation’ was this wrapped up into an election would be after the 2000 election, when there was an alarming uncertainty about exactly who just won.
Hillary, and many of her minions consider this election already won by their side. But don’t select the drapes just yet, Ms Clinton. It’s not over by any means.

Considering Trump didn’t even grope a woman or murder any one, the establishment reaction is quite predictable.

All it takes is a few words to get them lose their composure.

BTW, Democrats defend theirs when the chips are down.

When Bubba stood accused of perjury, they were right in there with him to the very end.

Which contrasts starkly with Republicans fleeing Trump over words, not even over a felony.

A Trump in the hand is better than a herd of RINOs in the Shrubbery/Bushes!

I think Trump will do the unexpected in tonight’s debate. The expected would be to attack Hillary for her actual evil deeds, including not just supporting her rapist husband, but actually intimidating the rape victims.

I’m thinking that instead Trump pivots to the high road and states that the American people are tired of this sort of gutter politics designed only to protect the political elite and their corporatists like Goldman Sachs. That he is in this race to champion the cause of the American people. Something the ruling elites have forgotten about.

They teach a lot worse in school.. They have 5th graders putting condoms on bananas. They teach sodomy in school in support of gays.. Now they are upset about Donald Trump..

No honor among them.

Look how quickly they retracted pledges of support.

How convenient!
