I thought I read somewhere prior to the convention that the DNC/GOPe plan was to make the REP VP resign. It was all coordinated. I thought it was far fetched at the time, but now I’m not so sure.

Regardless of who wins in 2016 if Pence stays true he will be the nominee in 2020. Do turncoat crap weasels like Ryan really think their skullduggery will be rewarded? Cruz had best tread carefully here.
We are very possibly watching the suicide of the establishment Republican Party. What will succeed it is hard to say. Can we reconstitute it? Will the GOPe go the Whig route as continues to merge with the rats?

Regardless of how Trump fares, Americans of all political stripes no longer have any misconceptions about the scorn with which our government regards us. Some (primarily on the left) agree with the global BS, some on the right oppose it, but nobody can claim ignorance of it anymore.
Our leaders are determined to erase the concept of an independent United States, and they have every intention of removing the rights we’ve accumulated over the past couple of centuries. FWIW, the West’s comfortable relationship with Red China should have warned us that this was coming; they are role models for our current governments.
I love Mike Pence more and more every time I see him/hear him speak!
Pence will not be the nominee in 2020. Donald J. Trump will be coming through a highly successful first term and running for re-election.

Trump just needs to not apologize at every thing they keep baiting him with to affect his supporters......they aren’t after their own voters...they don’t have any....they’re after Trump supporters so they’ll jump his ship....Hillary certainly has nothing we want so the best they can do is affect Trups people, and this by using every gun they got to disenfranchise him in every way possible. This also keeps the public off from how bad Hillary is.
I like the general idea of your post, but I don’t see Trump in the role of Robespierre.
I’m more thinking along the lines of an American Francisco Franco or Augusto Pinochet.
Robespierre was a proto-Marxist who would have been right on board with the Clintons and the Dems. A nasty piece of work who came to a nasty and well-deserved end.
I don’t think either Franco or Pinochet had a lot of core beliefs other than stopping commies by any means necessary. They simply busted a lot of heads that needed busting, and saved their nations as a result.
The American globalist Left has become so all-powerful that
it’s hard to see any way out except a Franco-style nationalist dictatorship. Consider it harsh chemotherapy for our broken political system.
