If Trump is able to dump a third of that, America will enter a fiscal renaissance.

President Trump’s Attorney General also needs to indict, try, convict, sentence, and hang at a minimum 70% of the Traitorobama kakistocracy, not counting those shot while resisting arrest.

My advice is as follows:

Since the congress cannot be bothered to pass each regulation as law but rather lets the regulatory agencies essentially write law, then all the regulations can be nulled out just as easily....

The president should ask each governor to appoint one person for each agency. This panel of 50 people will look at every single regulation and vote on each one. any regulation which does not get 2/3s of the 50 votes is tossed out.

If automobile styling can get back to where it left off in the 70s, that would be awesome.

When was the last time a candidate ever said something like that?

Since Reagan.

How about:

* intra-departmental redundnancy of said regulations?
* Is their a EPA reg that is almost to identical to a Dept of Energy reg and you have to comply with both?
* Has anyone ever checked this?
* How about cost effectiveness?
* My guess is these regs are never checked for this?

How about a 4 year freeze on Regs and just doing the 2 mayor things I mentioned above team DJT, as we suspect you lurk here....

He told a town hall event in New Hampshire on Thursday night that he wants to wipe out a full 70% of them.

It's a good start. A reasonable first step.

Oh, man....Sarbanes-Oxley, gone. Dodd-Frank, gone. Fannie and Freddy privatized. Obamacare, gone.

OSHA defanged. EPA neutered. Federal Education establishment eliminated, defunded, razed. CAFE rescinded. Needless bureaucratic meddling, gone.

Yep, country could be “great again”, and fairly swiftly.

I’d like to hear Trumps say what regulations he would drop. Just a few examples would be enough to satisfy most people. It will come up in a debate when someone asks “What regulations in particular are you going to scrap” you’ll want to be able to name a few that won’t make either side of the political spectrum upset.

I’m going to take a wild guess and say most regulations were dreamt up by wealthy donors who wanted to create a system that made it too expensive for smaller businesses to compete against them. Therefore both Libs and Conservatives could probably agree with just scrapping them. (As opposed to Dems and Repubs who are the ones taking the large donations to create the unfair system to push out competition in the first place)

Another thing Trump should do is provide a cap on federal employees’ salaries such that their salaries do not exceed the average of non government salaries for any given job.

I think he should also veto any bill presented that does not contain an accountability clause. It must define what it intends to do (subject to legitimate government power), an appropriate metric, and a threshold and objective goal. If it fails to meet threshold goal within two years, it sunsets. If it fails to meet objective goal in five years it sunsets; if objective is met it may also sunset if no longer needed.

For example, believe it or not, Federal Student loans were intended to increase the number and quality of scientists and engineers to ensure we stayed ahead of the Soviet bloc. So an appropriate measure would be production of degrees in those fields, and scores on subject GREs. This could also force accountability in the text of the bill; these loans should have never been permitted for degrees in the social sciences. When objective goal is met, Federal Aid could have been reduced to a minimum until required again.

Trump needs this in his Ads and bring it up in the Debate. He needs to give some specifics so the average person understands.

In my dreams the phrase that would be repeated 10,000 times would be “this is not a legitimate function of the federal government”.
