A nonpartisan watchdog group Thursday called for a federal investigation of Hillary Clinton’s campaign committee, accusing it of illegally accepting millions of dollars worth of “opposition research” and other assistance from Correct the Record, an outside super-PAC, in violation of U.S. election laws.
The Campaign Legal Center also filed complaints with the Federal Election Commission to initiate probes of Donald Trump’s campaign, and two super-PACs backing it, for similar violations of laws barring “coordination” between political campaigns and outside groups.
But the Campaign Legal Center’s detailed 52-page complaint against Hillary for America and Correct the Record — part of the sprawling political empire run by Clinton backer David Brock — is likely to get special attention, given Clinton’s repeated advocacy of campaign finance reform. She has vowed to “curb the influence of big money in American politics” and to push for a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United — the controversial ruling that opened the door for groups such as Correct the Record to accept unlimited donations to benefit political candidates.
Correct the Record, which has taken in over $6 million in this campaign from hedge-fund executives, plaintiffs’ lawyers and other wealthy donors, has effectively become a “parallel shadow” arm of the Clinton campaign, said Larry Noble, who served for 13 years as the chief legal counsel for the FEC and is now chief counsel of the Campaign Legal Center. “They’re training people [for the Clinton campaign], they’re doing research for it. They’ve really pushed the envelope in this case, and ripped it open.”

Everybody knows the Clintons are immune from prosecution, just ask the Attorney General and the FBI Director.
Probably only because there is a claim against the Trump campaign as well, though not formal as of yet. Perhaps also because this just cannot be ignored. Report on it, and then leave it behind with no further followup. Most likely though an attempt to not appear to be too partisan to the Democrats to make attacks against Trump appear more real and non-partisan.
Sounds like somebody didn't get their monthly check from the Clinton Foundation.

“Shadow arm of the Clinton campaign” is exactly what the media is. Why isn’t anyone investigating ABCNNBCBSMSNBCFOXWaPoNYT for being a co-ordinated arm of the Clinton campaign? Every day they all publish the same co-ordinated hit pieces with the same co-ordinated talking points which are the same things that Herself talks about when she deigns to ride her her sedan chair out to a choreographed appearance with bused-in crowds. Bezos paid to have a team of dozens of reporters digging for Trump dirt and writing hit pieces. Her interviews, given to media outlets where she spends tens of millions of dollars on ads, are scripted with prearranged questions and answers. “Journalists” and media executives have given her generous donations, as well as 24/7 in-kind contributions. There is no way to tell where her campaign stops and the media begins.

Is this organization something like that commercial where the bank is being robbed and the guard tells the people the bank is being robbed and does nothing about it? He tells them he is not a cop...only a watcher. That kind of “watchdog group?”

Whatever she did, if Trump did it, there would be hell to pay. Our news media sucks.
