A new magazine issued by the Islamic State advises lone jihadists to get over any squeamishness about using knives and embrace sharp objects as "widely available" weapons of jihad in nighttime stabbing campaigns. *snip*
In the first issue of Rumiyah, which debuted a month ago, jihadists were advised to target teens playing sports after school or even flower sellers hawking blooms on the street.

Devil’s advocate: knife attacks are much harder to ward off. An attacker with a knife can be done quicker than you would have time to react. There will need to be a handful of these types of attacks on folks in the US before it becomes and awareness issue. Most of us aren’t trained like law enforcement.
I was fortunate to have a friend who is an instructor of NRA courses.
Situational awareness is now second nature.

As long as the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod-supported Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service (LIaRS) and other resettlement contractors make their taxpayer-provided profit to resettle inadequately-screened ISIS recruits into unsuspecting Midwest towns, who cares what tragedies the Muslims create afterwards?

Unless you carry the gun in your hand at all times it won’t protect you against a knife attack.

This is exactly why my great-great grandfather left his
old Smith & Wesson revolver to us. It served him well on
the Tennessee River when he was a lightskeeper there. (He
fueled and upkept the river lights so the riverboats and
other river traffic wouldn’t wreck on the rocky banks of
the river.) A rough bunch hung around that river and they
would just as soon shoot or stab you as look at you back
then - probably is still like that.
We live on a river. If the jihadists can make it through
the sinkhole in our front drive, past the vipers, then
past DUB, our big guard dog, well, then they will have to
clear the Smith & Wesson hurdle if they like their odds.

My strategy is to start loudly broadcasting 60’s hard rock and acid rock all evening and night so that our neighborhood isn’t “quiet” anymore. Problem solved.
