FBI agents posed as a documentary film crew to gather evidence during their investigation into the April 2014 standoff near the Bundy family ranch in Bunkerville, a defense lawyer disclosed in court papers Friday.
Attorney Chris Rasmussen said undercover agents conducted video interviews of several defendants to "extract admissions" from them before they were charged.
He identified the company as Longbow Productions which does appear in online Nevada licensing records.
Attorney Dan Hill, who is defending Ammon Bundy, said his client was interviewed for several hours in Phoenix by Longbow Productions before he was charged in the Bunkerville standoff with his father, Cliven Bundy, and other defendants.
"I believe the FBI was pretending to be members of the news media in order to have lengthy conversations with Ammmon and others," Hill said. "Ammon has nothing to hide, but I still find it troublesome that the FBI would sink to that tactic.".....
Natalie Collins, a spokesperson for the Nevada U.S. attorney's office, would not comment Friday on Longbow Productions.
"We cannot comment on pending litigation," she said.
FBI spokesman Huston Pullen also declined to comment.
The revelation came in court papers Rasmussen filed seeking to narrow a protective order that vastly restricts public disclosure of evidence in the high-profile case......

Lawyers for the Nevada defendants say the FBI posed as members of the news media (documentary film crew) to gather evidence against the defendants.
Couldn't they have come up with a "documentary film crew" to talk to Hillary Clinton about those emails.
When I think of this story, the farce investigation of Hillary along with the five agents who lied in Oregon and dug through the snow to take away the shell casings when they fired at LaVoy Finicum's truck, I just want to start calling this organization, the FBLIE.
The defense in Nevada is up against a "protective order" to restrict public disclosure of how the federal government collected evidence in the case.
Just like Oregon, no doubt, there were plants and informants involved with the Bunkerville Standoff.

The Bundys need to make peace with their Maker now. Because when the Government gets them to prison out of the public eye, they are dead men. Both them and their defense lawyers know or should know that this is a kangaroo court. And that a Jew in Germany in the 1930’s would have a better chance of being Hitler’s second in command than they do of being acquitted. The Government did not get to kill them in Nevada, but they will make up for it where they are now.
Does this give me carte blanch to pose as an FBI agent if I want to interrogate someone?

The Bundys are deplorables. Once you realize that this government is at war with the “deplorables” everything is clear. Remember when they blew Vicky Weaver’s head off for pointing a loaded baby at federal officers. The elite can do as they please. But I would not call the FBI weasels. I have more respect for that noble animal.

American citizens cannot gather peacefully in groups that believe the gubbamint is a threat to them without jeopardizing themselves, the group and possibly their families with conspiracy raps.
