Unless this is a deliberate plant by the campaign, and they have legitimate returns they’re going to drop, this is bad.
The msm will pound this for the next two weeks. Class warfare will return to presidential politics. They want nothing more than to be able to tell blue collar voters “see, he’s not like you”.
Team Trump needs to get on top of this immediately or this is going to cripple him.
I’m so disgusted with the media. I can see the smiling faces right now in newsrooms across the country.
Why? You know what they are like. I know what they are like. Knowing that, we should know exactly what to expect from the media.
Contrary to popular belief, there are still some good reporters at the NYT, WaPo, etc. But they are overshadowed by those reporters that fawn (was stunned when I saw this) over President Obama, Secretary Clinton, etc. I have a friend who is a reporter in a large city and she said there is intense pressure to "push the narrative" in her newsroom. She stands her ground but it is not easy.
Just bought a book last night (for 50 cents!) which discusses how the media has changed in a negative way over the last 30-50 years. Should be an interesting read.
Baloney. Just look at how this is presented in the media reports:
He reported a $900 million loss on his 1995 tax returns. He MAY HAVE been able to use that to offset tax liabilities for UP TO ten years (or whatever).
He has nothing to worry about. If the issue comes up, he just needs to explain (once) how the loss works, and then move on. He can't get involved in a detailed discussion about it because nobody -- either the moderator, the audience, or Hillary Clinton -- is going to understand it anyway.
