I'll tell you what trap ...

The trap that thinking that lack of excitement at her rallies translating in to few votes.

Yes, the dems are not quite happy with their nominee, but they WILL turn out to vote for her because that is all they know. They won't vote with enthusiasm, but they will be out there to vote.

I agree. They will vote D because that is their good deed that makes them feel good about themselves. It is their religion.

“Yes, the dems are not quite happy with their nominee, but they WILL turn out to vote for her because that is all they know. They won’t vote with enthusiasm, but they will be out there to vote.”

Not in nearly the numbers they need to drag her carcass over the finish line.

The Dems needed to run a candidate who outshone Obama, to excite their base enough to capture the White House for a third term, which is already VERY hard for either party to do.

Truman was the last Democrat to pull that off. GHW Bush was the last Republican to do the same.

An incumbent term limited president has to be overwhelmingly popular to pass the baton to a successor from his own party. Ask yourself if that describes Obama. It doesn’t. He has no coat tails, so it will not happen. Only the media is making this look like a neck and neck horse race. Its not even close.
