Stalin has nothing to do with this...we’re talking about protecting borders and nations that matter who surround nation state borders. That’s the reality.....not some old war horse blathering about the past that has nothing to do with the reality of the present demographics.
It’s about where ones borders are weak and where they need strengthening......or we sure wouldn’t be talking about building a wall on our southern border to protect our nation or changes in our immigration laws.....
Yet you expect other nations to just lay down their borders? It would seem so.
It has everything to do with the sort of Russia that KGB Putin seeks to build, or restore. His aim is to retake Russia's former satellite states and basically restore the evil empire. He may not be as bad as Stalin, but he certainly can be viewed as "Stalin-lite".

ETL cannot process that. There is a sort of cognitive deficit at work there where he can’t access information more recent than 1953. He is the ideological equivalent of some unsurrendered old Japanese on an atoll all by himself but for coconuts, coconut crabs, and his rusting Arisaka with which he defends his atoll.
Nevertheless he is our friend. He is going to vote for Trump, which makes him... a comrade.
