That time Hillary Clinton said all Americans are racist and nobody blinked an eye

Shouldn’t we be talking about Hillary Clinton’s startling proclamation during Monday night’s debate that every American has “implicit bias” on race relations?

When asked by moderator Lester Holt (the only time he asked a direct and exclusive question of the Democratic Party’s nominee) “Do you believe that police are implicitly biased against black people?” Clinton didn’t just throw cops under the racist bus, she threw us all under:

Lester, I think implicit bias is a problem for everyone. Not just police. I think unfortunately too many of us in our great country, um, jump to conclusions about each other. And therefore I think we need all of us to be asking ourselves hard questions about, you know, why am I feeling this way.

This startling accusation comes just weeks after referring to “half” of Donald Trump supporters as members of a “basket of deplorables” who are “irredeemable” in her eyes. And yet, the comment has largely gone unnoticed.

would you say that everyone’s a little bit racist hillary

— Sonny Bunch (@SonnyBunch) September 27, 2016

Our Salem colleague Hugh Hewitt jumped on the comment immediately and made a prediction:

"I think implicit bias is a problem for everyone." That's going to launch quite a long debate tomorrow.

— Hugh Hewitt (@hughhewitt) September 27, 2016

Yet, the debate never came. Barely even a discussion.

More people are talking about her smarmy shimmy during the debate than her outrageous accusation against every American.

hill-gif

Heather MacDonald at City Journal blasts away at Clinton’s assertion that “implicit ias” exists in our criminal justice system and is somehow inspiring police officers to randomly gun down innocent black men:

Clinton reiterated her call for “implicit-bias” training for officers. The premise of such training is that police officers are shooting black males out of such bias. Yet,four studies have come out this year alone that demolish this charge. They show that if there is bias among police officers in their shooting decisions, it works in favor of blacks and against whites. “Implicit-bias” training, based on a lie, is a grotesque waste of resources at a time when officers are desperate for more hands-on tactical training that will help them make those crucial shoot/don’t shoot decisions in the field, or avoid being put into such an excruciating situation in the first place.

But, on closer parsing of her remarkable statement, it’s important to note that she made much more than an accusation in this pandering response to Holt, she made an admission.

Lester, I think implicit bias is a problem for everyone… I think we need all of us to be asking ourselves hard questions about, you know, why am I feeling this way.

She’s including herself in these sweeping generalizations.

Is Hillary admitting that she's a racist? "Why do I feel this way?" What? #debatenight

She is, after all, the person who referred to young black men as “super predators,” that she intended to “bring to heel” isn’t she?

Hillary Clinton on "Superpredators"

It’s nice to see Hillary admitting to her own “implicit bias” on race issues, but I wish she’d speak for herself.

Yes, every American has “implicit bias” on race relations.

Not just the white people.

I couldn’t believe it when she said everyone was racist. I hope Trump revisits that.

She’s so gross. I just can’t even look at her or listen to her.

Has she tried to talk to white people about racism yet?

Clinton criticized Trump for thinking that America wasn’t great. And in the same debate she says that everybody in America is racist.

Whatever Yale Law School is teaching students about the Constitution, its certainly not the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers the way that constitutional lawmakers had intended for those powers to be understood.

More specifically, what low-information Hillary evidently doesn’t understand (ignores?) about so-called federal remedies for racial issues is this. The only race-related right that the states have amended the Constitution to expressly protect deals with voting rights as evidenced by the 15th Amendment, that amendment expressly giving Congress the power to legislatively strengthen only voting-related rights.

So misguided Hillary is trying to win votes from low-information citizens with the unconstitutonal promise of federal protections for politically correct, race-related rights outside the scope of voting rights, the feds having no express constitutional authority to address such “rights.”

In other words, Hillary should be working with Congress and the states to propose an amendment to the Constitution to the states to broaden express constitutional racial protections beyond voting rights on the campaign trail.

But also consider that the states don’t have to ratify any amendment that Hillary proposes.

That facial expression and shimmy look like she had a "I just emptied my bladder and I feel much better now" moment.

The moment she said that “implicit racist” comment, I was so hoping that Donald or (God forbid) Lester would ask, “Does that include you, Sec’y Clinton? It would’ve required all the sliminess she could muster to have slithered out of that one.

Nope I clearly remember that. It was the main take away for me. In her unclear off handed way she called most Americans racist.

She keeps saying these things.

Several weeks ago, she said that all people who have German names (and, I presume, who have German ancestors regardless of their name) are Nazis.

Then a couple of weeks ago, she said that Trump voters are all deplorable.

Then at the debates, she resorted to calling everyone racist.

I guess her philosophy is that once you’ve dug a hole for yourself, the best strategy is to keep digging it deeper while pretending to be unaware of it.

She was either peeing or crapping during that shoulder shake. Remember your kids trying to get it out into the diaper?

Mrs. Clinton, at every turn, displays a woman in lockstep with a Leftist narrative of "reality"; a total acceptance of the Newspeak that accepts absurd premises to justify social engineering the liberty of Americans out of existence.

What she epitomizes is the fantasy belief system that drives the effort to impose a "politically correct," perspective on all Americans. Because Trump threatens their fantasy world, they will pull out all restraints in an effort to defeat him. God Grant that we may rise to the challenge and defeat these enemies of everything the Founding Fathers achieved for their posterity.
