JASTA Veto Override Vote in Senate Tomorrow

Posted on 09/28/2016 8:21:48 AM PDT by ganeemead

The JASTA bill passed both houses by unanimous vote recently. Last Friday late in the day, Barrack Obama vetoed the bill, hoping nobody would notice or that nobody would stick around to try to do anything about it.

That veto has to be overridden and the vote in the senate comes up tomorrow morning around 9 or 10 AM east coast time. This is about whether we actually won the revolutionary war which you read about or whether we are still some sort of a colony of the Rothschild banking cartel and Saudi Arabia. Giant pressures are being exerted on senators and representatives to let the veto stand and these pressures are coming from the Saudis, British bankers, and American companies which do business with Saudi Arabia.

But they don't have any sort of a case. The JASTA bill has been carefully crafted and would not expose anybody to frivolous lawsuits either here or abroad. The veto needs to be overridden. All US senators and representatives need to hear about it.

Great line from the movie Moscow on the Hudson

For a public servant, having your retirement portfolio subsidized by the Saudis is the best thing that could happen to you. Of course, the truly fortunate get the backing of both the Saudis and the Chinese; that’s the brass ring.

You can bet the Saudis know where all the bodies are buried in American politics. I’ll bet a lot of people are running scared. I’m not commenting on whether the lawsuit is a good or bad idea, but simply that the Saudis have a lot of cards to play. I’m surprised the lawsuit got this far. Something else is going on to make this possible.

As if Obama gives a damn about laws passed by congress.

I think in this case...when the Saudis come around to talk....the Senators involved will each ask for an enormous amount of pay-off....which right now...the Saudis don’t have tons of cash just laying around like it was a decade ago.

It passed unanimously. If the veto is not overridden, we might as well start rioting in the streets.

Haven’t heard the outcome, but both my senators claim to have voted to override the veto. Nock me down with a feather!

I gotta say...unless you can convince me I agree with Obama on this one. Money, money money. Let me as this, then why can’t innocent people who were killed by our attacks be able to sue us? Please tell me what I am missing.

I’mn for putting that “brass ring” around their necks and hanging each of them from his own “personal lamp post” on Pennsylvania Avenue in DC. Our elected officials who routinely line their pockets with illegal foreign money are as seditious as if they were selling our secrets to those same people ( which in all probablility some of them are doing too).
