Trump, like many others, realized early on that Bush's wars would destabilize the region and create a power vacuum (just like Obama and Hillary accomplished in Libya and want to accomplish in Syria). The war's critics had the sense to see a mistake as it unfolded and propose that we climb out of the self-made hole, unlike the Bush yes-men, who just kept on digging after hitting bottom.
Any war would always create a vacuum if you win, then leave and don’t establish the peace. Same would’ve happened in Japan and Germany. Toppling Saddam and staying in Iraq kept world peace. All the terrorists went there to fight our troops and got their butts kicked. That’s the way it should be. Because obviously if you let your warlike enemy claim territory for their own, they will simply seek to invade more and more countries, as ISIS did after Obama pulled out.
