“Look at the war in Iraq and the mess that we’re in,” he said in an August 2004 issue of Esquire. “I would never have handled it that way…Two minutes after we leave, there’s going to be a revolution, and the meanest, toughest, smartest, most vicious guy will take over. And he’ll have weapons of mass destruction, which Saddam [Hussein] didn’t have.”

The scary part is that Holt didn’t say Trump switched or equivocated, he flat out said Trump lied and supported the war. That’s how crazy and biased they are.

The whole point of attacking Trump for support of the Iraq War is to catch him in a lie.

Finger in the political wind decision maker Hillary was one of the most strident war hawks when her credibility in New York was at stake

It doesn’t matter what he thought. He wasn’t holding any public office and had no influence on what happened. He was just a private citizen expressing an opinion.

Any war would always create a vacuum if you win, then leave and don’t establish the peace. Same would’ve happened in Japan and Germany. Toppling Saddam and staying in Iraq kept world peace. All the terrorists went there to fight our troops and got their butts kicked. That’s the way it should be. Because obviously if you let your warlike enemy claim territory for their own, they will simply seek to invade more and more countries, as ISIS did after Obama pulled out.

Anyone on Free Republic would make a better debate coach for Trump than who he is currently using.

Anyone.
