I think it’s a Carter vs Reagan pattern here. Not saying Trump is exactly like Reagan or Clinton like Carter...just the debate dynamic is similar. Carter and Clinton both were building a case that their opponent was an unstable crazy man who would be dangerous to have in the office. Both were defending a dismal status quo. Both attacked and put their opponent on defense during the debate. In both cases their opponent came off as genuinely concerned about improving the poor status quo. And I think in both cases the debate was the turning point where they lost the election while thinking they had made their case.

That’s what I saw.

If I was a low info voter - LIV - I came into the debate thinking Trump was this crazed, scary racist.

Instead, I saw a warm, likable man who wants what’s best for the country.

I’m going to vote for Trump and I didn’t understand a thing a Hillary said.
