ON THE OCCASION OF THE FIRST DEBATE BETWEEN
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES
Donald John Trump
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES
HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY, HEMPSTEAD, NY
9 PM MONDAY SEPTEMBER 26, 2016
The 90 minute debate will be divided into six time segments of approximately 15 minutes each on major topics to be selected by the moderator and announced at least one week before the debate. The moderator will open each segment with a question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. Candidates will then have an opportunity to respond to each other. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a deeper discussion of the topic.
We’ll get a quick look in the AM from the LA Times tracking poll.
If he had been better prepared to go after her on the issues and more prepared to avoid the baiting, he could still have won the debate...
this was ... hardly a debate ... he missed so many opportunities ... jeez ... he clearly was not prepared like he should have been ... you can’t wing your way through a 1 on 1 debate ... he should have poked fun at her canned, rehearsed answers ... instead he meandered way too much ...
... maybe I’ll just turn off the news, til I vote on Nov 9 ...
Just saw her pill rolling w her left hand
Hillary: “Thanks, Lester.”
LOL!~
Oh yeah, he deserves her thanks.
Agreed. He missed far too many opportunities, particularly her “biggest” issue - cybersecurity.
So did Megyn Kelly giving love to Clinton and dissing her nemesis Donald Trump.
I watched the last half hour. It was horrible. The debate was rigged against him. He had to defend his stand on Iraq in 2000 the Lester (Candy Crowley-esque) accused him of supporting. I also think Clinton is being coached through an ear pod. Trump’s people should look into this.
There is a disingenuous side of Hillary in which she is playing dumb when she is confronted with having done some VERY stupid things. The email servers. Benghazi.
Letting her put on her “bright” mask might be the case of a punch line that comes home long after the joke.
I’m very disappointed. More useless questions than I expected, Hillary got a lot more time than Trump did, Holt told eh audience to be quiet when Trump got a response, let if pass 3 times for Hillary...
Trump did miss a couple of chances, but he hit it out of the park a few times too. Hillary was her same scripted, boring self.
I noticed Trump sniffling, I wonder if he picked up a cold.
If anything, maybe Trump should have been like what Cruz did and accuse the media of bias.
But on my score card; I think Trump did well.
Why the hell would he say that....AH
Well I didnt expect Trump to “Destroy” Clinton, just to act Presidential and I think he did that
Out of all of this, Lester Holt needs to be called out for arguing with Trump about facts that are disputed, and taking a side.
It wasn’t a station poll, and it is a Conservative site after all.
We’ll see hos it goes.
See , you Tedlims are never true to your word...
Hillary and Holt had him on the defensive all night. :-(
It’s never fair for our side. Time to ge over it. Our candidates know this going in. If they don’t prepare, they can only blame themselves.
2 v 1 tonight with that partisan shill trying to interrupt Trump multiple times.
See BS was shockingly embarrassing, with their heads completely up her rear end, saying she had facts and Trump had platitudes, when it was obviously the other way around.
Trump did great considering it was 2 v 1.
I’m disappointed she didn’t do any funky.
