Mariners player under fire for tweets on Black Lives Matter, police shootings (double standard)
Fox News ^

Seattle Mariners catcher Steve Clevenger tweeted some disparaging remarks Thursday about Black Lives Matter protesters and the controversy over police shootings.

“Black people beating whites when a thug got shot holding a gun by a black officer haha (expletive) cracks me up! Keep kneeling for the Anthem!” one read.

“BLM is pathetic once again! Obama you are pathetic once again! Everyone involved should be locked behind bars like animals!” another one of his tweets read.

Clevenger had since deleted the tweets and changed his Twitter account to protected mode, according to the Seattle Times.

The Mariners organization released a statement later saying there were “very disappointed with the tweets Clevenger had sent out.

“While he is certainly free to express himself, his tweets do not in any way represent the opinions of the Seattle Mariners,” the statement said. “We strongly disagree with the language and tone of his comments.

“We are currently examining all internal options that are available to us as we determine appropriate next steps.”

“I’ve just gained a large amount of PERSONAL time, thank you NFL/MLB.”

My wife will be glad not to have the TV wasting electricity on Sunday and the other nights they are on. I basically have only watched the Former Niners for decades until the playoffs. The new low life Former Niner owners and black and white thug team members are not wanted in my family room even on our tv set.

We are not ready to turn off the Giants. If they start this BLM bs and other liberal in your face stuff, they will not be wanted in our home.

Since the pre Iowa debate mess with MeGyn and Murduck’s other Never Trump thugs on Faux, we haven’t watched Faux News or not really Business. We watch a little local tv and that goes off if they started parroting their mother station’s poll bs.

So we have a lot of free time without Faux News and in our face NFL thugs.

I get my news from FR, and maybe someone can have short posts on the Nagging Football League.

The NFL and the MLB have jumped the shark.

Time to find a lot of better and cheaper things to do with our time. Play sports ourselves. Go for a walk. Watch the kids or grandkids play. Spend time with the family. Do some gardening. Read a book.

My wife and I just watched one of the Mid Summer Murder shows on Amazon Prime on Acorn via our Roku.

We are going on a walk and may not watch MLB this evening. It is on late and chews up a whole evening.

My wife and I just got back from a nice walk.

Zero football or baseball today.

We will be prepping/fixing a shrimp and veggie stir fry dinner, which I will grill on my Charbroil combo charcoal/butane grill.

After dinner, we will talk, read, text our family/friends and probably watch another Midsummer Murders.

Saturday. we will go to our 5:30 pm service and Sunday to the beach and no football/baseball on either day.
