We have allowed the politicians and the media to manipulate us, the voters, to think solely in partisan terms. That is changing. People are waking up to the Uni-Party.

The “solid South” when I started voting was solid Democrat. Today it votes Republican. Did the people change? Or was it the parties? Or was it the wings of the Uni-Party?

I remember Will telling us that the people must change, that the [Republican] party will not.

The only reason Trump has an R after his name is because the Rep. state parties wanted his application fee money. None of them thought he had a prayer of getting the nomination. For them it was money for nothing and it gave their chosen sons a foil to lambaste.

Trump is closer to a third party than he is Republican.

Kristol's a Republican, but he's left leaning in tons of ways like the Bush family. Thus the RINO rating from me. Pence is a Republican, but he's mostly a Reagan conservative. Our party is divided into multiple camps, but these are the two main ones.

Trump is not a Reagan conservative in the classic sense, he's neither ideological, nor is he an intellectual style explainer of conservatism. Trump is difficult to categorize, but he leans towards Reagan policy wise in every single way but trade, and he's really not that far from him in that regard. He's the most conservative candidate we've had since Reagan.

The Bush family drove the party left, drove them to become the party of accommodating the evil of the left. They were the original RINO's, unfortunately they are the norm for the party leaders at this time.

Goes much farther (further?) back than Bush.

When I first registered to vote it was in NYC in 1966. We had a Republican Gov...Nelson Rockefeller, a Republican Senator...Jacob K. Javits and a Republican Mayor....John V. Lindsay. There wasn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that I was going to register as a Republican, so I went (small i) independent. Been an independent ever since. I have no use for the Republican wing of the Uni-Party.

Separating out all the different types of Republicans is like weeding through all the different types of mooselimbs....and just about as productive.

I didn’t hear him say anything other than what Kristol meth said. If anything, Rush put out a negative on him without going as far as calling him out.
