Is this just speculation or wishful thinking, or based on something concrete? She could just as well be practicing or laying a trap for Trump.
Who didn’t see this coming? There is no way Sickery can stand up for 90 minutes without eye bugging,bobbleheading or face planting.
I would like to raise this possibility. It’s something I don’t think will happen, but fore-warned is fore-armed.
I personally think Clinton is suffering the moderately advanced stages of Parkinsons or a similar debilitating disease. To what extent I don’t know.
Is she capable of regrouping and putting on a very good debate performance? I don’t think so. None the less, there is this nagging prospect in the back of my mind, that I cannot completely dismiss.
Is part of this a rope-a-dope set-up prior to the debate to lower expectations so much, that even an average performance looms larger, a truly good performance garners accolades beyond reason.

I can’t imagine that she would skip this debate. That would just continue to lend truth to rumors that she is not well. It would dog her campaign and drive her poll numbers down further. DNC officials would start lobbying her to drop out fearful that there is truth to the rumors that she’s not well.
However, that being said Trump has to prepare for this possibility however remote. If that were to happen, I think he should go ahead with the debate. However, it should just be him against Lester Holt. Don’t allow Johnson or Stein on the stage. That would give them stature they have not earned. I wouldn’t mind Stein because she would only draw lefty loonies away from Clinton, but you would have to let Johnson on also (since he has higher numbers than Stein) and he could possibly pull votes that might vote for Trump. Why take that chance? He hasn’t earned the right to be on that stage. He could have ran in the Republican primaries if he wanted.
I expect her to find an excuse to cancel all three debates. I always did. But her medical excuse has to be a temporary ailment that will not interfere with her role as president. It must be an inconvenience that will be gone the day after she wins in the landslide liberals keep assuring me is coming. To which I reply: “Only if she cheats”.

I take everything Gateway Pundit says with a huge grain of skepticism. They’ve been wrong innumerable times.
Trump will say she was too ill and afraid, and Clinton will send out surrogates that will fail to convince.
Trump will continue to hold rallies and ask "Where is Crooked Hillary? Has anybody seen her? Why is she hiding from the American people? What doesn't she want you to know?"
People will believe Trump that something is seriously wrong with Clinton, and her surrogates will not be able to stop the decline.
Then the scheduled second debate date will arrive, and it will start all over again.

Okay everyone, Hillary would literally have to be on her death-bed to cancel Monday’s debate appearance so I wouldn’t put much store in this.
If anything, it’s a psych-op to lower Hillary’s expectations then MSM can say “see, Hillary wants this so much she dragged herself from bed with pneumonia to debate Trump”

I think you are all wrong. Her team is lowering expectations so that when she appears, fresh as a daisy, with lots of drug induced energy, brand new Mao trench coat, huge pee bag and best catheter, and 007 quality earpiece feeding her genius answers, she WINS. “Wow, Hillary looks GREAT” helps her.
I hope I am wrong. I’d like to see a grand mal seizure and pee all over the floor. But I think they are lowering expectations. She’s done a zillion debates jaunt fine. And now she has the earpiece to cover for her mental problems.
