President Barack Obama told a crowd of black people that he’d consider it a personal insult if blacks don’t vote for Hillary in 2016. Just when you thought Democrats couldn’t dial up their identity politics anymore, Obama told black Americans that only their vote and his legacy matter, not their black lives.
“And after we have achieved historic turnout in 2008 and 2012, especially in the African-American community, I will consider it a personal insult, an insult to my legacy, if this community lets down its guard and fails to activate itself in this election. You want to give me a good sendoff? Go vote,” Obama preached.
Adopting a black dialect, Obama told the black crowd that there’s one candidate who will advance his (failed) polices. Without naming Trump, he declared that the GOP candidate is opposed to policies to help improve black lives.
“My name may not be on the ballot, but our progress is on the ballot. Tolerance is on the ballot. Democracy is on the ballot. Justice is on the ballot. Good schools are on the ballot. Ending mass incarceration -- that's on the ballot right now!” roared Obama.
It’s amazing how Obama distorts the truth to help Hillary win votes. Neither Obama nor Democrats are champions of good schools. They are defenders of teachers unions. Republicans like Trump are advocates for school choice programs, including charter schools, that disproportionately help black students escape bad schools. Remember it was Obama who defunded the DC Scholarship program in his White House budget every year of his presidency. The federal program provides scholarships for black kids to attend private or Catholic schools. If Congress doesn’t act, funding for the program will expire in January 2017.
Former black Attorney General Eric Holder sued Louisiana’s voucher program and lost. The Justice Department argued that black kids fleeing bad public schools in Louisiana left schools too white. You couldn’t make this stuff up if you tried. But Obama wants to pretend he’s been fighting for blacks, who voted nearly 100% for him both terms.
What’s on the ballot in 2016 is Obama and Hillary’s hostility to helping poor black kids receive a good education. Obama’s presidency was nothing more than a black symbol to blacks.
In 2015, Chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, G. K. Butterfield, said it best: Black America is in a state of emergency today as it was at the turn of the century.
As I observed in my book Con Job: How Democrats Gave Us Crime, Sanctuary Cities, Abortion Profiteering, and Racial Division, Butterfield rattled off some disturbing statistics about life for blacks under America’s first black president.
Twenty-five percent of black households live below the poverty line as compared to eight percent for white households. African Americans are twice as likely as whites to be unemployed. African Americans earn $13,000 less per year than their white counterparts. This didn’t include the black homicide rate raging in Chicago, Obama’s hometown. Blacks are killing each other at an unprecedented rate that we haven’t seen since the 1990s. The body count is about 500 this year.
Butterfield recently excoriated Trump as “a disgusting fraud” for allegedly stoking the birther movement against Obama, when Hillary’s campaign started it in 2007. The real disgusting fraud Butterfield should be calling out by name is Obama, who has done nothing but take the black vote for granted like his Democrat peers have for the past half century.
Blinded by Obama’s race, Butterfield added at the press conference held by the CBC that Trump only issued a statement on Obama’s birth to pander to black voters.
He said, quote, "President Obama was born in the United States, period.’" Then he takes his seat and gives a guided tour of the Trump hotel to the news media that was assembled. That’s disgusting. The Congressional Black Caucus finds it disgusting. The political action committee finds it disgusting. Every American needs to understand that this man is a fraud. He is an insult to the intellect of the American people. We must defeat him in November.
No, the disgusting fraud is the CBC continuing to prop up Obama’s non-existent legacy to black Americans. Blacks can’t afford to keep falling for this Con Job.

What you say is true, however, some people get off on being insulted. Both the Republican and Democrat Parties insult their base voters. Both the Republican and Democrat Parties hold their voting base in the basest of contempt.The Democrats do from time to time throw their base a bare bone to gnaw on. The only thing the Republican Party throws at its base are insults and a boot attached to a foot attached to a leg in the face. For evidence of that, look at how they have treated the candidacy of Donald Trump.
