I have a small machine and fabrication shop. I now have no customers after years of fairly good customers. Gone. Like it hit a brick wall. Not sure when it will change but I hope it’s soon.

Your post is exactly correct - and describes the primary mission of the Left in America over the last forty years. To them, crushing 100,000 small businesses is much a more desirable and satisfying outcome than taking out one of their big corporate villains like Monsanto. The villains are at least pliable and reliable campaign contributors, sources of bribes donors to Leftist causes, and enforcers of Federal hiring regulations.

Of course it’s collapsing.

That’s the whole point of obama’s Marxism, and, in fact, it could never be any other way as long as businessmen are strangled and broken by the twin executioners of excess taxation and excess regulation.

There’s nothing even slightly surprising about this.

With Obamacare and other regulations making starting a business even riskier and more costly, this is no surprise.

Wow, any idea why? Do your customers no longer have the money?

At least a dozen gas stations had competitor gas stations build literally across the street from them in Omaha, and that’s just the ones that I’ve personally seen. Waste of space and a crappy business model if gas prices go up again.

Depending on what you can make there might be some good business with some deepnet contacts, FYI.
