I was just thinking that—if my 14 year old nephew was here, I’d just ask him.
But I think that Hillbilly’s IT temp better plead the 5th on his resume in the future because he’s going to be known as ‘oh- you’re that guy!’
My nephew and I were just talking a few days ago, about doing this sort of thing- more accurately, he was explaining it to me because he had just done something similar, ran a test and was very happy it worked.
And while I’m not the computer genius he is (seriously-he’s been studying coding etc online, teaching himself for FUN- since June-he’s very smart), I’m the only one here that knows enough about computer stuff to understand what he’s talking about....and when something isn’t working, I have him explain it to me and I ask a few stupid questions and sooner or later, he stops and says:”ooohhhhh! I know why it bombed!”—
So, I’m kind of like his ‘guru’, he said, because I always help him ‘figure it out by talking it out’.
(Yes-I’m the ‘cool’ auntie....) ;-)
And the Congress and the FBI are doing what about this revalation? Oh, I thought so.
Didn’t get a solution from script kiddies R Us to keep Assange & Company from obtaining what was on those servers though, did he/she/it.
This is the sort of incompetence that gets rendered when “culture” is more important that competence/character/integrity... TRUTH.

I save all the magnets. They come in handy.
Everyone at State knew how to map a .pst file to a secondary server with User Profiles, and if one had ever had to research and find information determined by the the Department to contain classified information, they would have been walked thru the procedures to strip out the information.
While there are many senior IMS career field people at State who lack a broad range of the IT "assumed" skill set, it would seem this guy is not even up to the basic entry level skill set.
