What are you supposed to cook in a pressure cooker anyhow? Isn’t a crockpot good enough for everything?

I think they’re used to cook food items quickly, especially roasts or other large portions of meat...not positive. Also used to sterilize canning jars and lids when canning food.

Crockpots are for slow cooking, pressure cookers are for fast cooking.
Plus, pressure cookers are used for canning as well.............

You can take the toughest roast in the world, put it in the pressure cooker with potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, and whatever. Let it come up to pressure(the little weight starts dancing), and cook it for one hour. The potatoes turn about the color of the meat, and you have reached nirvana.

I just ate a rib steak sandwich, but just thinking about pot roast has made me hungry. I would list my wife as one of the world's best cooks, but she insists on using the crock pot for pot roast most of the time; good, but not the same.
