My beef with the poster is that they used the phrase, “birther nuts” without having the slightest idea of the history of this place. I took it as an insult to this community.

Yes, but presumably when one has spent long enough learning from other FReepers how to make a valid argument one will be able to make one themselves as opposed to being so ignorant they don't know when they've lost the argument, and continue to clutter the board with empty rhetoric designed to do little more than "save face."
Frankly, I can't remember the last time I saw a FReeper concede their point to a better argument. In the early days that happened all the time.
One of the things Ann Coulter used to praise us for is the constant refining of our arguments. She said the problem with liberals is after so long in power "they can't take a punch anymore." Now, I see very little difference between us and liberals excepting the orientation of our preferences.
