ORANGE - Confusion. Shock. Grief. And questions.
But few answers.
The violent deaths of Robert Baja Bob and Sharon Gordon the father and step-mother of well-known race car driver Robby Gordon shook the racing community Thursday.
This is devastating, his son said, fighting back tears. He taught so many, and I want everyone to know what a good man he was.
Some details emerged Thursday evening: A day earlier, Bob Gordon died from injuries consistent with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the results of an autopsy by the Orange County coroners office, while Sharon Gordon died from strangulation.

I wonder if either had a terminal illness. Prayers for their loved ones. How tragic.

I only post this to show germanacrsonly a possible explanation of what could of happened and it not be that Baja Bob was an “evil” man. It’s called dementia. Anyone who’s had a loved one who’s had this knows what I mean. My father sufferd from dementia and one of the symptoms he had from it was hallucinations. He was constantly hallucinating that everybody was trying to kill him. It got so bad the doctors had advised us to safe proof the house so he wouldn’t hurt himself or anyone else. I’m not saying this is what happened, but it is a viable explanation for what could have happened and would make Bob Gordon a victim as well. Only time will tell what really happened.

As a side note once the dust settles...
Can Robbie be sued as the homeowner for wrongful death by children of stepmother in California since it happened on his property.
She could have children by another marriage that could look for a payout from someone.
Yes it is.
sad :(

My last surviving uncle has dementia.
It’s a sad thing to watch him sometimes.
He sees people trying to steal his cattle and wants to stop them. Problem is, nothing in the pasture but cattle.
His son has removed his guns and hunting knives to minimize the possibility of him hurting someone, or himself.
Bad enough to see those we love break down physically, but to see them break down.mentally is devastating.
Dementia & senility are so tragic. - My uncle had a disorder
in his eighties where he “saw” people who were not there.
It was shadows of particles in his brain that were breaking
down. I forget what they called it.
So sorry this happened.
At 83 I have been acquainted with a few people who have developed dementia and some came be extra docile and some can be very unpredictable. My heart and prayers go out to Robby and his sisters. Thanks much for the ping GR...

No.
She could have children by another marriage that could look for a payout from someone.
At 57 I think she was beyond her child producing years.
You don’t have to be under 18 to be a child that can sue for the wrongful death of a relative
Anyone else want to try again who actually knows that a child above 18 can sue for wrongful death of a parent.
First off..they can sue the murderer’s estate if allowed in California.
Next up, does the property owner have any liability?
what if the property owner knows tenant has dementia? Do they have liability that home owners insurance would cover?
Interest legal case for any step children of murderer.
For those of you that just don’t get the legal ramifications of this...here is one example of Murder/suicide and the estate.
