Why? He’s 68 years old and he’s got to be pulling down a pension well into six figures. Jeez, man, take a rest. You’ve earned it.
More than earned it, considering what kind of boss he’s put up with of late.
The verdict on “broken windows” policing seems to be that the results don’t endure very long.
Perhaps the opposite approach - addressing root causes rather than end symptoms - might have a more durable benefit.
Giuliani showed that at least an area could be safe & clean with “broken windows” policing - and it did help remove career criminals when the fare beaters had warrants for more serious crimes.
Good Riddance to Mr. Amnesty Bratton, the SOB who refused to help the INS, the Border Patrol and any one else in the business of immigration law enforcement in Los Angeles.
He’s the guy who made Kate Steinle’s murder inevitable as he pioneered the concept of never, ever prosecuting an illegal alien for ANYTHING in California, thus making criminal alien’s into a Protected Class above all others in our state.
He should have been impeached and imprisoned for malfeasance 20 years ago.
