FBI Director James Comey dismissed an invitation to appear before a House Oversight Committee hearing, refusing to testify about the agency’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails.
The committee’s top Democrat, Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland, said Monday that Comey refused to appear at the meeting because he had “already bent over backwards” explaining the FBI’s decision in Clinton’s email scandal, The Washington Examiner reported.
Apparently a federal employee is allowed to flout the law by throwing a temper tantrum.

How about, if Trump wins, on November 9th, he says to Comey - “You’re FIRED” for unethical behavior as soon as I get into office.
Don’t give Comey the chance to retire/resign on the excuse that he wants to give the new Trump administration the right to nominate who they want for each office.
Make sure the public knows why he is going to be fired. Make the case that Congress and much of the media has FAILED to make so far.
Gowty and Chafetz can actually have some fun with Comey, Lerner, Koskishen, Pagliano, and other by holding hearings to which they have been subpoenaed. If they fail to appear, then do a Clint Eastwood - present, verbally and in print - the questions you want them to answer, and print them in the text of the hearings.
Let the public actually read what the charges/questions are against them, and document it so that it becomes a trial by questions.
The Left will yell that it is a trial in absentia, but screw them. The witnesses were subpoenaed and if they fail to appear, FT. If they appear and take the 5th, then the public will ask “What are they hiding”?
Since much of the mainstream print and visual/audio media will not cover these hearings in any depth (a 10 second sound bite doesn’t count as “news”), let the hearing publications present the issues so that the public can make up their own mind.
For those old enough to remember the McCarthy hearings (of identified Communists), and the Kefauver committee hearings/Valachi hearings on Organized Crime in the 50’s and 60’s, it was fun to see and hear the witnesses take the 5th more times than an alcoholic.
It was what was in the questions and supplied documentation that told the story, not the witnesses’ use of the 5th.
Somebody has got to ask the questions in public, and then supply the answers (if they have them) inspite of the silence of the witnesses, 5th, absent, or both.
He’ll show up at budget time asking for money. They ought to refuse to let him in.
Things are beginning to point in that direction.
The various investigative committes are slowly building a case and shaping public opinion as they slowly pry the information and evidence from the DOJ and FBI.
To some extent they have been playing passive rope a dope to allow the DOJ and FBI to hang themselves with their obvious attempts to use legal procedures to sand bag the investigations and let key fact witnesses skate prosecution by offering them immunity to that obstructs justice rather than move the ball forward in investigations.
The DOJ and FBI have made some big errors and for the very first time, the members of the Senate oversight committee has openly suggested that the DOJ and FBI are engaged in “Obstruction” which is a nice way of saying obstruction of justice.
The Republicans are getting serious about enforcing their oversight and Democrats who have been used openly giving congress the middle finger are now seeing life in different way.
The number of players in this debacle who have plead the 5th is staggering.
We have seen the unprecedented spectacle of the FBI being rightfully threatened with obstruction of justice and may soon see Comey being forced to testify
Problem is they’re all stalling because of Hillary’s run......they have 54 days to go and it looks like they’re going to pull it off......if she’s in then they won’t have anything to sweat...

I called them today at (303) 255-1941 to make a citizen inquiry into their criminality and unethical business practices.
The man on the other end of the line listened to my unyielding diatribe, and had clearly been fielding similar calls all day long.
