Donald Trump Jr. made an allusion to the Holocaust as he attacked the news media for propping up Hillary Clinton during an interview Wednesday on WPHT Talk Radio 1210.
He suggested that if his father, or Republicans generally, had done the things Clinton did, the media would be preparing to gas them.
“The media has been her number one surrogate in this,” Trump Jr. said. “Without the media, this wouldn’t even be a contest, but the media has built her up. They’ve let her slide on every indiscrepancy (sic), on every lie, on every DNC game trying to get Bernie Sanders out of the thing. If Republicans were doing that, they’d be warming up the gas chamber right now.”
Shalala's getting used ... again! Remember how BJClinton shoved her into the spotlight (along with other Clinton cabinet members) to help him deny the Lewinski allegations?

Bad reference, but Twitter criticism says Trump Jr was making “a joke” out of the Holocaust. He was not making a joke. He was saying the media would figuratively kill any Republican guilty of Hillary’s behavior.
If people are going to be this sensitive, then words like “tsunami” and others shouldn’t be used so lightly in reference to politics. The Boxing Day tsunami killed a lot of people and was a great tragedy.
I’m sure there are even better examples. If he had said “raked over the coals,” he probably would have been lambasted for insensitivity to people who are literally raked over coals.
I think they used to execute convicts in a gas chamber, and this might be his metaphor rather than the Holocaust.

How does a reference to a gas chamber automatically equate to a reference to the Holocaust? If I’m not mistaken, the gas chamber was used for criminal executions both before and after the Holocaust.
It’s only “dumb” by standards of political correctness, probably the most dehumanizing force ever invented.
The ability to recognize and morally discard political correctness should be a feature of IQ testing.

He does this on purpose...the words are carefully chosen... he knows the press is reactionary and in a hurry to break the story... also he knows that once the right people repeat it, it will be carried through the echo chamber and he will get much more response than if he just said that the left would line them up and shoot them....and in reality... he didn’t say anything about world war ii... he just said the left would be ready to gas them... gas has been used by our enemies in more recent wars than ww ii. Sadam Hussein used gas on the Kurds.

security has been awesome. He is very brave and very high profile.But they are really in desperation as the vice closes tighter. When hillary has her next seizure she is finished. It may be too late because military ballots have gone out and many absentee ballots are printed.
