For 18 months, Republican strategists, political pundits, reporters and Americans who follow them have been pursuing Hillary Clintons personal email habits, and no evidence of a crime has been found. But now they at least have the skills and interest to focus on a much larger and deeper email conspiracy, one involving war, lies, a private server run by the Republican Party and contempt of Congress citationsall of it still unsolved and unpunished.
Clintons email habits look positively transparent when compared with the subpoena-dodging, email-hiding, private-server-using George W. Bush administration. Between 2003 and 2009, the Bush White House lost 22 million emails.
This correspondence included millions of emails written during the darkest period in Americas recent history, when the Bush administration was ginning up support for what turned out to be a disastrous war in Iraq with false claims that the country possessed weapons of mass destruction (WMD), and, later, when it was firing U.S. attorneys for political reasons.
Like Clinton, the Bush White House used a private email serverits was owned by the Republican National Committee. And the Bush administration failed to store its emails, as required by law, and then refused to comply with a congressional subpoena seeking some of those emails. Its about as amazing a double standard as you can get, says Eric Boehlert, who works with the pro-Clinton group Media Matters.
If you look at the Bush emails, he was a sitting president, and 95 percent of his chief advisers emails were on a private email system set up by the RNC. Imagine if for the last year and a half we had been talking about Hillary Clintons emails set up on a private DNC server?

Newsweek spiked Mike Isikoff's story of the Lewinsky scandal. Matt Drudge ran with it, and the rest is history. We here on FR back then started calling Mike Isikoff "Spike." It might have been picked up from Lucianne Goldberg...not sure.
Yeah, emails like
“Dear Mr. President,
Could you send an autographed picture to my brother? He has been sick.
Thanks.”
The Lefties’ last resort - deflect attention by attacking someone else, preferably with unproven and unprovable allegations.
Nina Burleigh... isn’t she the one who was willing to service Bubba because of everything he’d done for women.
It was the RNCC’s server.
Wonder how much a pay-per-view Bumfight of some female bum cleaning Ninas clock would haul in?
I think that Nina Burleigh would do a threesome with the Clintons if she could.
That would have to be in the butt, Bob.
The whole article cleverly sidesteps the main issue of CLASSIFIED information being sent by unsecured email.
It all started when scrutiny of shady dealings such as Benghazi brought attention to Hillary’s noncompliance on classified information.
And in the process of looking into whether she shared classified information via unsecured email, it became clear that she destroyed evidence, obstructed justice, and committed perjury.
But it all backfired when her own choice of convenience over national security led to hackers stealing her emails, some of which were publicly released. Additionally, emails the FBI has have been publicly released. And consequently it has come to light that she has been selling access and financial awards using her office at State and her family’s non-profit foundation.
Was there ever any reason to believe Bush used a private server to send classified information? I don’t think so. Bush had every right to use executive privilege when he did. Beyond that the Democrats were on a witch hunt. While anything is possible, including that the emails contained proof of Bush corruption, there has to be some evidence to start such a fishing expedition other than just not liking someone’s political views.
And the accusation about firing lawyers because of their politics is so typical of the left. They think it is their divine right to control all media, all educational institutions, all legislative bodies, all judicial bodies, and all executive and law enforcement bodies. They have been playing the long game, strategically infiltrating every area of society incrementally. And they scream bloody murder when conservatives get the slightest bit of representation in our government.
If Bush had done this, Nina, you and your ilk would have reported it at the time. And you didn’t. Why?
Ah, thanks. I didn’t recall the name. What a deplorable person she is.
Did the loss occur before or after the subpoena was issued?
