I like your point. We conservatives are used to working and earning what we have. When the SHTF, I believe we will band together. The left? They will eat each other alive!
And, fortunately, most of them live in big cities. And, their heads are so deep in the sand - or other regions - that they aren't prepared to provide the necessities of life for themselves, even for a few days - either because they don't think the SHTF will ever happen - or - more to the point - if it does, only the 'deplorables' will be hit - as they, the Elite will be taken care of by their God/Goddess in the WH.
By the time they realize they're on their own, like when gangs bust their doors down, it will be far to late to get out of the city. And even if they did, they are clueless as to how to provide for themselves. They wouldn't even be able to grow a carrot.
That also goes for those 'preppers' who are prepping in place, while living in the city. They have their closets and under-beds stuffed with supplies and plans to get to a 'safe place' outside the city after the first few days of chaos has settled down.
New flash: All roads out will be closed withing hours. After the first few days, total bedlam will reign - and there will no '911". The only way to be 'prepared' is to already be living far from the big cities - and have established gardens, fruit orchards, berry bushes, cellar shelves full of canned goods, chicken coops, pig pens, well water, weapons - including hunting rifles - and experience in hunting and foraging and fishing. "And the meek shall inherit".
i.e., be able to easily transition from living with power to living the way our grandparents - and thousands of generations before them - lived - and lived well.
