No, I never did. Was a tad too young for Vietnam. And was going to college in the 80s. But then John Fonda Kerry served in the military. As did Charlie “The Red” Rangel, Obama’s Jeremiah ‘G-D America’ Wright, Harry ‘The Body’ Reid, and many others of the sort. In other words, serving doesn’t always mean one is a patriot.

Anyway, you’re a longtime Putin apologist and defender. So let me ask you: are you aware that Russia armed and advised Saddam Hussein in the GW? That they were videoed sneaking ‘something’, possibly WMDs, out of Iraq and into Syria just prior to the war? That they backed Iran who helped kill our soldiers in Iraq? That they continue to this day arming and/or supporting leftist regimes throughout the world, such as Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, Bolivia, North Korea and the ChiComs? Strange, don’t you think, for a regime who now claims to detest communism, as well as be our ‘friends’.

“The Soviet Union was critical of Saddam Hussein’s 2 August 1990 invasion and occupation of Kuwait, and supported a United Nations resolution authorizing the use of military force, if necessary, to enforce an arms embargo against Iraq. But the Soviet Union’s military support for Hussein also drew substantial criticism from the United States and other Western countries. In Washington, D.C., the Heritage Foundation foreign policy experts Jay P. Kosminsky and Michael Johns wrote on 30 August 1990 that, “While condemning the Iraqi invasion [of Kuwait], Gorbachev continues to assist Saddam militarily.

By Moscow’s own admission, in a 22 August [1990] official press conference with Red Army Colonel Valentin Ogurtsov, 193 Soviet military advisors still are training and assisting Iraq’s one million-man armed forces. Privately, Pentagon sources say that between 3,000 and 4,000 Soviet military advisors may be in Iraq.”[8]”

“On 14 September 2005, Vladimir Putin met with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani. Mr Talabani called on Russia to assist Iraq and he maintained the strong ties that existed between Russia and Iraq since the Soviet Union.[12]

Former Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for International Technology Security John A. Shaw who was responsible for tracking Saddam Hussein’s weapons programs before and after the 2003 invasion of Iraq, stated in October 2004,[13] March 2005,[14] and again in February 2006[15] that it was the Russians who helped Saddam Hussein to “clean up” his weapons of mass destruction stockpiles “to prevent the United States from discovering them.” [16]

In particular, on 18 February 2006, Shaw told a conference at The Intelligence Summit in Alexandria, Virginia, that “The short answer to the question of where the WMD Saddam bought from the Russians went was that they went” to Syria and the Beqaa Valley in Lebanon, Kenneth R. Timmerman reported[15] 19 February 2006, in NewsMax.

“They were moved by Russian Spetsnaz (special forces) units out of uniform, that were specifically sent to Iraq to move the weaponry and eradicate any evidence of its existence,” Shaw said.

After accusing Russian GRU of helping Saddam to remove his WMD, Shaw was asked to resign for “exceeding his authority” in disclosing the information, a charge he called “specious.”

Shaw was forced out of office when his position was eliminated on 10 December 2004.[17][18]

Shaw stated that he went public with his comments regarding Russia moving Iraq’s WMD when he did to help George W. Bush who he felt was being “crucified” by the revelations that over 350 tons of explosives had gone missing in Iraq as a result of the U.S. invasion.[19]

He said “If I had not had the openly hostile environment in [Pentagon public affairs], I would have moved the story differently.

Getting the truth out instantly was more important than process.” American Neoconservative commentators have also accused Russia of supplying weapons to the Iraqi insurgents.”

"Romanian intelligence defector Ion Mihai Pacepa alleged that an operation for the removal of chemical weapons was prepared by the Soviet Union for Libya, and that he was told over thirty years ago by Romanian President Nicolae Ceausescu, KGB chairman Yury Andropov, and later, Yevgeny Primakov, about the existence of a similar plan for Iraq.

It is 'perfectly obvious', wrote Pacepa, that the Russian GRU agency helped Saddam Hussein to destroy, hide, or transfer his chemical weapons prior to the American invasion of Iraq in 2003. 'After all, Russia helped Saddam get his hands on them in the first place.'[13]

John Loftus, director of The Intelligence Summit, said in the November 16, 2007 issue of FrontPage Magazine that many documents from Iraq point to WMD being transferred to other countries such as Syria: 'As stated in more detail in my full report, the British, Ukrainian and American secret services all believed that the Russians had organized a last minute evacuation of CW [chemical] and BW [biological] stockpiles from Baghdad to Syria.'

His researchers allegedly found a document ordering the concealment of nuclear weapons equipment in storage facilities under the Euphrates River a few weeks before the invasion.[14]"

How Russia arms America's southern neighbors

Ioan Grillo
May 9, 2014

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil -- Russia's push into Ukraine has put many on edge. But less known is that Russia is also strengthening its military links south of the Rio Grande and re-establishing itself as a power in the region.

Vladimir Putin has been strengthening military links here, and Russia is now the largest arms dealer to governments in Latin America, surpassing the United States.

Russia has even floated the possibility of building new military bases in Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, and putting its warships permanently in the Caribbean.

In the midst of the Ukraine crisis, Russia's top diplomat Sergei Lavrov recently visited Cuba, Peru, Chile, and Nicaragua, where he announced that Russia would also pour money into the new Central American canal project. ..."

Russia Boosts Arms, Training for Leftist Latin Militaries

Moscow defense minister inks deals with Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua for joint exercises

BY: Bill Gertz
February 20, 2015

Russia agreed to provide military training for three leftist regimes in Latin America and increase military visits and exercises following a visit last week to the region by Moscow's Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu, Pentagon officials said.

Shoygu met with defense and military leaders in Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua and signed several agreements on warship visits and military training during the visit, which ran from Feb. 11 to 14. It is not clear whether any new arms deals were completed during the visit.

Defense officials said the Russian leader is seeking bases in the region for strategic bomber flights that Shoygu recently promised would include flights over the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean.

Czech Defense Minister: "Russia is Orchestrating Muslim Invasion of Europe"

Posted By: TRT NEWS October 31, 2015

Prague, Czech Republic - Russia is orchestrating, coordinating, and funding the ongoing invasion of European countries by Muslim, military-age males, the Czech Defense Minister shared with IDNES.cz on October 10th, 2015.

According to Martin Stropnicky, the Defense Minister for the Czech Republic, he was informed by the Hungarian Defense Minister Istvan Simicsko that Russia was financing the busing of military-age Islamic males across the borders of the Balkan nations.

-snip-

Speculation has been rife for some time now that Russian forces have been plotting a ground invasion to retake the former satellite states of the Soviet Union, and eventually capturing the European capitals.

The overwhelming of these nations' borders, social services, and law enforcement mechanisms would destabilize and weaken the internal security controls when Russian military units would make their move.

"The Russian Federation does not desire a unified and cohesive European Union," Stropnicky said in the interview. "I do not envision the current invasion ceasing anytime soon."

As the Russian Federation has modernized its military forces and transformed its military theory to a hybrid combination of special forces, infantry, and airpower, it has made impressive advances in its latest generation tank and fighter jet, both of which purportedly claim to be superior to American counterparts. ..."
