For all the attention on battleground polls giving Hillary Clinton the edge, Donald Trump enjoys at least one electoral advantage in his uphill climb to the White House: Republicans are outpacing Democrats in registering new voters in key states.
A review of registration figures shows that in the swing states that sign up voters by party, Republicans are seeing a significantly bigger boost since 2012. In states like Florida and Pennsylvania, the party has added tens of thousands of voters to the rolls at a time when Democrats have seen their base shrink.
The numbers [in those states] are a huge shift from what weve seen in 2012, Republican National Committee spokeswoman Lindsay Walters said.
The surge doesnt change the fact that Clinton leads, if only by a thin margin, in most battleground state polls, which presumably reflect the current voter make-up.

Move Zig!
Yepper. Looks like all the new furniture is in place. They are officially moved it. When do they move to Californicak?
Either way the only response is get out and vote. Don’t be left behind by those voting that day. Don’t be the one who has no right to complain about the results because they didn’t vote.
"Black Lives Matter" as long as they are angry and riled-up enough to show up at the polls!
This is good news. Hopefully Trump is flipping votes in the 2012 universe and adding folks who sat out the last general election. Anyone know how many of this years 31 million gop primary voters didn’t vote in the 2012 general?
They even “adjusted” a poll the other day that gave Trump the lead - said it needed to be weighted to 2012 registration numbers (which is what they did the other day when their poll came out with Trump in the lead. They ‘readjusted” it - using 2012 numbers. Talk about dishonest )- which totally ignores the 100,000 of thousands of new voters that have come on board for Trump -
they use the registration lists from towns - which are usually years old - so they have no clue and don’t call all these news voters - but they’ll hear from them in Nov
To wit: Valerie's protege fooled 69.5 million into thinking he was acceptable during the 2008 cycle.
Four years later, he was only able to snooker 65.9 million.
In other words, about 5% of the population who went in for the Big Liar decided against him in four years.
The bad news is that the Republican establishment was only able to INCREASE their votes from 59.9 million to 60.9 million...a dismal 1 million increase....while the Fraud of Chicago ended up chasing away 3.6 million AWAY.
Sad.
I think Trump may just be bringing along many of the missing voters. And more.
my local unions have not publicly endorsed anyone.. yet (IBEW, Pipefitters, Heavy Equipment)
I think this year, the membership would go bonkers if they endorsed Hillary. We have Trump stickers everywhere. Years ago, a R sticker would mean not working, having your tires slashed, windows busted, super glue in your door locks, etc.
same with our police unions in the area, I don’t know a single cop (and I know and talk to them all the time) who would support Hillary.
That union (and ours) is going to have a helluva time if they endorse her.
I haven’t seen it on FreeRepublic yet, but Trump will be attending the Phyllis Schlafly funeral Saturday in St. Louis. I wonder what other leading Republicans will be there.
Actually some pollsters due poll for it. Likely voters vs registered voters, for example. Some even have questions of "highly likely" versus plain likely and not likely.
This is a bright spot. Aren’t recent voters more likely to go to the polls?
BLM backfired on them. So BLM was shipped out to London and the PLO. LOL.
