The republicans authorized the deal knowing full well there was $1.5B (the figure that was published a the time, which seems to keep growing and is now $1.7B). It wasn't a surprise. If you think that them not knowing the money would be in cash absolves them of culpability than I guess you and I see it differently.

And yeah, I have a bias against the republicans in congress who promised us many things, chief among them to stop illegal immigration, repeal Obamacare, reduce government spending, fight islamic terrorism and blunt Obama and who have done none of those things. In most cases, they have supported and fought for the opposite, right in line with Obama. Having the power to stop him and willfully refusing to use it is the same as helping him.

So they question is, why do you continue to support and defend them? Their promises mean nothing and they are not even trying to stop the democrat agenda. Heck, Paul Ryan ADDED money to Obama's budget request. They are useless.

When the GOP stops lying to us and starts defending the constitution and our rights, I'll support them fully. But they don't get a free pass from me for looking the other way while Obama wrecks the country.
