Entire Title: Ann Coulter: Why Do We Have Debate Moderators at All? ‘Why on Earth Should All These Hillary Voters Be Choosing the Questions?’
Speaking with Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow on Wednesday’s edition of Breitbart News Daily on SiriusXM, Ann Coulter, the bestselling author of In Trump We Trust: E Pluribus Awesome!, questioned the need for presidential debate moderators.
Coulter and Marlow were discussing Wednesday’s Commander-in-Chief Forum that would give voters their first chance to see Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton head-to-head, although not in an interactive debate setting.
“This whole moderator and debate business really enrages me,” she said of the questions swirling around forum moderator Matt Lauer’s alleged membership in the Clinton Foundation.
“As I’ve said before, why do we have moderators at all?” Coulter asked. “This is crazy, how the incredibly biased, disrespected, and distrusted media has injected itself right into the heart of a presidential campaign, so we have two-to-one on these stages.”
“Lincoln and Douglas didn’t have moderators,” she pointed out. “We want the candidates to ask one another questions. It’s one thing to have a referee who’s making sure that each candidate is given equal time, but why on Earth should all these Hillary voters be choosing the questions?”
As she argued at length in her latest book, Colter said “there’s no way we’d be talking about these issues – sanctuary cities, anchor babies, building a wall, a deportation task force” if Trump had not shaped the political conversation, rather than allowing the media to do it.

Why do we need these political shills pretending to be neutral?
If Hillary is going to call on her MSM allies for aid & succor, then the `rats’ journalists can climb on stage and get behind a podium, like Trump’s 15 also-rans, instead of sitting there behind a desk like American Idol judges, poseurs making American think they are impartial, when they have a `rat agenda and axes to grind.
And how did journalists—the scum around the bowl—get the job of serving as the Grand Inquisitors of the `rats’ opponent?
Let’s see how this `forum’ goes tonight. If it’s the usual cluster cluck, Trump should consider unilaterally changing the debate rules.
Answer:
Rule 1: The Left is in charge and it’s all about the Left and their media minions.
Rule 2: It is NEVER a true debate, only a slanted Q&A session aimed to take down Trump with the “moderators” hogging as much of the attention as possible. Remember Rule 1: it’s ALL about the Left.
Rule 3: How else could the Left set up a firing squad aimed at Trump? Just call them something like “moderators.”
Because it’s not a debate, it’s a for-profit reality TV program where the political candidates and moderator are the cast.

I think an un-moderated debate with a simple introduction and timer-controlled microphones would get a huge viewership.
What it wouldn't do is advance the careers or political sympathies of thought-free news readers.
