So chemotherapy kills 50% of patients.

Cancer kills about 100% of them.

This said from a guy whose wife went through a stem cell transplant for advancde breast cancer 20 years ago. Was it hell? You bet. But she saw her boys graduate college, one get married, and is still my beautiful bride today.

Stereotactic radio surgery is probably better than chemo.

You nailed it.

This is one more story out there seeking to back up the premise we need someone to look out for us.

Of course it would be the party that cares, the Democrats.

Cancel kills 100% of them. Some many folks don’t consider this.

Stem cell treatment is very different than chemo

Very lovely story! Kudos to you and your wife.

Unfortunately, chemo can cause leukemia. I know of several who died of the cure.

But what to do?

22 year cancer survivor here —they used Cisplatin and 5FU on me —it’s allowed me to see my daughter grow up and marry and spend time with two beautiful grandbabies....

That’s a wonderful story. Not many people may know this but chemotherapy may become obsolete in 5-10 years. Immunotherapy is the future and the early results from clinical trials are spectacular. For example, Jimmuh Carter’s melanoma had spread to his brain (assuming he had one), lungs and liver and normally he would have months to live. But thanks to a checkpoint inhibitor (immunotherapeutic) drug called Keytruda, today he is walking around cancer free. This is nothing short of a miracle.

Two considerations for the data set. Are these hospitals seeing 50% deaths within 30 days treating people that would not survive, no matter the treatment? Therefore artificially inflating the data? Other hospitals may not even treat these patients to begin with.

How long after cancer onset/diagnosis are these patients getting treatment? We hear the “horror” stories of waiting lists. That can also be a contributor.

I am glad for you and your family but Chemo definitely killed my mother. She was beating her Hodgkin’s lymphoma and feeling great but the doctors made her continue treatments (money) . She had a reaction to the chemo, lungs filled with crap from the reaction, next day dead.

Rense.com says cancer is caused by dairy and meat.

Perhaps minimizing it’s influence could help.

Yep. Chemo is poison that kills young and fast growing cells. Its use is a crap shoot and always will be. Some survive, where they were destined to die early.

My wife went through all of that, and is now 100% cancer free. She might choose death rather than go through that treatment again; but, she is grateful to be alive. I would be lost without her.

I’m with you. I have AML was treated with potent chemo and had a donor stem cell transplant as well. Would have died in 2 weeks without chemo. Chemo is nasty stuff. But, that poison saved my life. I’m over a year post treatment.

God bless you and your wife

So glad your wife is well. I too had a SCT. Mine was a donor from my sister

About your wife, did she develop MDS before leukemia? Did it turn to AML? Not sure if you remember. I have AML - 1 yr remission and have come across a few with your wife’s circumstances.

Scary times, life changing. So glad she’s well.
