A Facebook post shared by a Bossier Parish teen is getting a lot of attention.
It reads, "Just left Albertsons. The woman behind the cake counter just refused to make me a birthday cake because I wanted Trump 2016 on it. Did that really just happen."
The cake is for the Benton girl's 18th birthday party, and the post has been shared now more than 150 times.
How is a clerk at a cake counter entitled to set policy at an Albertson’s? She should be required as part of her employment to keep her petty politics out of her duty to conduct Albertson’s business. She doesn’t own the place and she doesn’t get to set policy unless she does.
If I were the manager at that store she’d be looking for new employment in the morning.
“Okay, I am coming out of the closet this year, so I want it to tell the world what I like: THE RUMP 2016. No, I’m too afraid to go through with it. Leave off the HE. But you and I will know what it really means.”
This could bring a whole s#!t storm down on them.
Ping for a tomorrow call heh. They’ll get calls even from Alberta.
Every Trump support in the area should go in there and ask for the same thing. When they’re all refused, file a class-action lawsuit against Alberstons.
Sue their butts off! If the left can do it over the abomination of same sex marriage, they certainly can and have a much stronger case.
PR flack has it wrong. There would never be a copyright issue. Names cannot be copywritten. Technically Trump 2016 could be trademarked, but it would be illogical for a campaign to make it difficult to use the candidate’s name.
Most people don’t know the difference between the two concepts.
I suspect the flack was using the copyright thing as a cover. I don’t think it is likely a person working the bakery counter at a supermarket has any clue as to what can and cannot be decorated on a cake.
I also would not blame the baker, they likely never even deal with customers.
That is gonna be one sweet boycott as well.
Boycott Albertson's and vote Trump!
Boycott time!....
Yes it is. It sounds like a typical libtard excuse. They just assume we are as stupid as they are, and that we will buy whatever BS they try to sell us. They will never tell the truth, if they think a lie will do.
I worked for them to, under the Pavilions name. I don’t believe in punishing an entire company for the actions of one employee.
Somebody needs to test the law by demanding a Man-boy “Love” cake.
Liberals need to have their own hypocrisy thrown back in their faces.
I'm sure Albertsons will be doing a little talking to this particular baker...
“Boycott time!....”....
You left out “law suit” time. What’s good for one should be good for another. Go for the throat!
Political affiliation is not a protected class.
True enough, and it would definitely be my reaction. I like the idea of publicly shaming the business for their actions though.
