A 9/11 memorial monument is (causing controversy) in the small town of Owego, New York.
The Islamic Organization Of The Southern Tier has taken issue with the writing on the monument, which calls the perpetrators of the 9/11 attacks "Islamic terrorists."

Call them MOSLEMS! I took a photo 30 years ago while I was hanging off the back of an Embassy Van of a traffic sign in Saudi Arabia that ordered all non-MOSLEM drivers to exit. We had to get off on what we called the “Christian Bypass” lest we infidels enter the MOSLEM holy city of “Makkah.”
In Owego NY they are not politically correct. Lower middle income, second amendment population. Lots of unemployed. If I were to walk up to a resident of Owego and tell them I want it changed they will laugh in my face. That or take a swing a me. It is sort of a good old boy, no nonsense, rough and tumble place.
There used to be some high tone areas, but back then those folks weren’t politically correct. That kind of crap won’t take hold in places like Owego.
Were they Christian terrorists? NO!
