On the campaign trail in 2008, Barack Obama promised to fundamentally transform the United States of America. After nearly eight years as president, he has delivered on one front by reshaping the federal judiciary.
That revolution has been comprehensive, dramatic, and under the radar.
When Obama entered the Oval Office, liberal judges controlled just one of the 13 circuits of the U.S. Court of Appeals. Fifty-five successful presidential nominations later, liberal majorities now control nine of those appeals benches, or 70 percent.

Even Obamacare could have been overturned easily had it not been for the judges that Obama appointed.
Ugh. Depressing.
Imagine how bad it will get if Hillary is elected.. Yikes.
Those judges must be removed, promptly.
Just enough to home them in contempt.
Correction: Just enough to hold them in contempt.
Very true. Hillary will appoint enough liberal judges to finish us off. If hillary serves for 8 years as president, just based on attrition, retirements of judges, that 70% number could easily top 90% by the end of a new Clinton administration.
How many can be fired/impeached?
With this spineless GOP? Zero.
I cannot agree more.
Yep. And they’re all young and funny indoctrinated. They will be there for a generation.
Legislation is no longer required. Just look around at all aspects of America. It doesn’t matter what the voters say, what the lawmakers legislated, or even if there are no laws. A judge just makes a declaration from the bench and TUH DUH!!! It’s law.
Simple lesson here for the NeverTrump people:
Trump might well reverse this trend. Nothing is guaranteed, of course, but his published list of potential Supreme Court nominees is very promising.
Hillary, OTOH, will DEFINITELY continue this trend. We will lose not only the Supreme Court, but all of the lower level courts (where 95% of the decisions are NOT reviewed by the Supremes). IMHO, Hillary will force out a lot of the conservative/Constitutionalist judges and Justices, with threats and/or bribes, so the Circuits will be 100% liberal-controlled by the end of her first term.
Wake up, people! We cannot allow Hillary to become President - EVER! If Churchill could send military equipment to Stalin in order to fight Hitler, then you can go a LOT less further down a similar road and support Trump (who is not even close to being a Stalin) over Hillary (who ain’t all that far away from Hitler in her ambitions for power).
A new Judiciary Act of 2017 would need to pass cloture in the Senate, however.

Unfortunately they all have lifetime appointments. They can be removed by the guilty votes of 67 Senators in an impeachment trial or by their resignation.
Do judges have any enforcemnet power? Why not just ignore them?

Unless they commit impeachable offenses, they a there as long as they want to be.
Its called “Contempt of Court,” federal judges can imprison whoever they feel has disobeyed their order and they can keep someone held in contempt locked up until they agree to comply.
Strangely, civil contempt can be worse than criminal contempt. In criminal contempt you have “innocent until proven guilty” protections, usually a jury trial before a different judge. In civil contempt, the original judge can just order you to be locked up and there is no appeal.
The maximum time for imprisonment for contempt under federal guidelines is eighteen months.
The Judiciary Act does not amend the Constitution.
Article III, Section 1: “The judicial power of the United States, shall be vested in one Supreme Court, and in such inferior courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. The judges, both of the supreme and inferior courts, shall hold their offices during good behaviour, and shall, at stated times, receive for their services, a compensation, which shall not be diminished during their continuance in office.”
Since the beginnng of the republic “good behavior” has meant not being convicted of a felony. Attempts to remove judges for their rulings have failed.
