Lucrative Book Deals Might Finance the Obamas’ Post-White House Life

WASHINGTON — After he is out of the White House, President Obama has said that he wants to become a venture capitalist, own part of an N.B.A. franchise and avoid taking off his shoes during security screenings at commercial airports.

All of those goals, serious or not, might soon be achievable if Mr. Obama and his wife, Michelle, sign post-presidency book contracts for what literary agents and major publishers say could amount to $20 million to $45 million — more than enough to pay the estimated $22,000 monthly rent for the nine-bedroom home they will occupy in the Kalorama neighborhood of Washington and foot the bill for flights on private jets. (Mr. Obama has said he would like to avoid commercial flights once he surrenders Air Force One.)

“His is going to be easily the most valuable presidential memoir ever,” said Raphael Sagalyn of the ICM/Sagalyn Literary Agency, who predicted that Mr. Obama could earn as much as $30 million with a two- or three-book contract. “And I think Michelle Obama has the opportunity to sell the most valuable first lady memoir in history.”

If he has a lucrative book deal after he leaves office, it’s only because he gave something in advance of his leaving. These book deals are quid pro quo...no one would care what he has to say in office, much less out of office.

HA. The Obamas have their fingers in so many pies all over the world they will be billionaires. He’ll be “honorary” board members on all the giant tech companies. He’ll have HUGE real estate deals in Cuba. Soros like power dealers will give him millions to use his political organization and influence. Obama has installed hundreds of thousand of young loyal bureaucrats in every government agency in the nation. He will sell that power at a hefty profit.

He and Moo will get multi-million dollar advances for crap books that end up on the Walmart $2.00 sale table. The only sales they will get are forced sales to libraries, pol-sci college course (mandatory by leftist profs.), and a limited number of people with dubious mental capabilities. The objective is to funnel a deferred bribe to the Obamas.

Barack will get appointed to the boards of those much hated Wall Street oligarchies with million dollar payments.
