A 17-year-old black teenager was caught on tape assaulting a 5-year-old white girl while riding on a school bus in South Carolina.
The teen, Tavon Walters, was on probation at the time of the assault. It's not clear why he was allowed to ride the bus with a 5-year-old that's 12 years his junior. Nonetheless, the school's superintendent Phyllis Schwarting defended Tavon's actions saying: "The behavior on the bus was not any more abnormal than most buses."

A five-year-old girl from South Carolina is now scared to ride the school bus after a 17-year-old boy allegedly hit her in the face, said the child’s father.
Terry Peters, the father of five-year-old Jasmine, told NBC affiliate WAGT News, that when he picked up his daughter from the school bus last week he noticed a mark on her face.
“People came out and they began to state to me that she got slapped on the school bus,” said Peters to WAGT. “I’m very upset, I’m mad.”
Surveillance video from the bus appears to show the teen reaching over a school bus seat and using another student’s hand to hit Jasmine on the right side of her face.
“He had reached over that seat and he was telling another girl that ‘if you don’t hit her then I’m going to hit her for you,’” explained Peters.

There was a question of whether Tavon caused the girl's visible injuries as they say the marks were on the opposite side of her face. Police have since said they believe the photo may have been flipped.
Bamberg District superintendent Phyllis Schwarting is going all in trying to claim the girl must have got the hand print shaped mark from somewhere else:
Liz Owens: "This kid has been in trouble at school before no secret, they're saying he's on probation, why is it that someone who has a history like that allowed to ride the bus, especially with young students?"
Phyllis Schwarting: "Well, he had not had any bus incidents for one."
Liz Owens: "So it doesn't really matter how bad of trouble you get in at school? You could hit a kid at school or have a history of being violent at school as long, as that didn't happen on the bus, he's not going to lose his bus privileges?"
Phyllis Schwarting: "Well that's sort of taking things out of context."
Schwarting would not comment on the possibility of the picture being flipped. She told Liz Owens, "I have information to the contrary."
Clearly, this is just another innocent black man being framed for a crime he didn't commit.

The parents don’t care enough about their little daughter to get her out of public school. That in itself is a prima facie case of child neglect and I maintain that it is child abuse. The “boy” should bne separated from society permanently. There is no cure for his disease.
And some people wonder why lynching was not an abnormal thing.
It is a shame he hit her, but I hope she carries the lesson learned to her grave. It is practically illegal to expect human behavior from the super-predators; Hillary was right that they need to be brought to heel.

I don’t know who took the picture of the little girl but she looks devastated and she really needs some support and love instead of just this callous dismissive attitude towards her assault by this school system.
As for the photo flip, just examine the shirt she was wearing. Around the neckline, the printed pattern is unevenly sewed into the neck band. Very simple sleuthing.
I just got my CDL license with school bus endorsement this week. Drivers are not told of problems or trouble students may have. The media is pretty stupid to not realize that all age groups often ride the same bus. I pray I don’t have to deal with any sort of trouble like this. We were taught that if a problem arises to pull over and stop the bus. When the kids ask why they’re not moving you must be firm, fair and consistant and tell them they need to behave or the bus isn’t going anywhere. We were told that the other kids who have jobs and need to get home will quickly settle things down.
This girl should have a scholarship fund started for her.
It appears that Tavon needs a serious attitude adjustment.

Better still, why was an 18 yr old boy on the same bus as a 5 yr old girl? Did he flunk first grade that many times???
Welcome to Obamanation. Black thugs have free reign over whites. Smack a 5 year old? Big deal. It’s normal. He just needs more midnight basketball. Besides, it’s the girl’s fault for her white privilege.
If you watch the video you will see they were not at the back of the bus. They were both near the front.
All ages typically ride the bus together. At least that’s the way it is around here.
