PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A newlywed couple raised in Arizona created a successful YouTube business. Then they decided it was time to leave the valley and explore life, so they moved to Chicago.
But one day after arriving in the "Windy City," their big move turned into a big nightmare.
"It's one of the most amazing cities in America," said Brianna White.
"Hey, why not, we're doing okay. We can go there and be okay financially, so why not go and see what happens," said Jaelin White.
But what happened next terrified the Whites. All unpacked, the couple took the train to get a bite to eat.
"A guy comes up to us and starts trying to ask questions."
"I'm trying to be nice, realizing something's strange."
The stranger followed the couple off the train and down the street.
"I don't know what he wants, he could have a gun, he could have a knife."

They darted into a Subway restaurant, hoping he'd leave them alone."
"He's like looking through the window at us and stuff."
"When he wouldn't leave, the couple called Uber and 9-1-1 for help. In the meantime, Jaelin tried to talk to the stranger."
"I was like, hey man, do you need anything? You want a sandwich? He's like, 'No, I'm hanging around' in a creepy tone."
What happened next, no one expected.
"My whole world was flipped upside down."
"I go to walk out and he just clocks me."

These two are so cute and adorable, I wanna clock ‘em too.
Yeah. I can see that. Jaelin needs to pivot to Jake and hit the gym.
Because really, that could’ve happened to them just about anywhere. It just happened to be in Chicago. Like another poster said, they got off pretty light for what sounds like a knock-out-game type of attack. Some couples suffer worse fates.
Edgewater is not that safe. I would say most of Chicago is not safe. The rate of crime is rising in Lincoln Park ,Portage park and Wrigleyville.
The bad guys have nothing to fear. We are short on cops and those traditionally safe area have been stripped of Police to patrol Englewood and the rest of the jungle.
Burglaries in my “safe neighborhood”has increased 400% .
< They left because of the crime demographic. They were suicidal in their blind optimism. Now... Theyre realists.
It’s like magic. From liberal twits to conservative realists with one punch. Maybe we need to round up and deploy Knock Off gamers to every major liberal city
I grew up in Chicago. Back in the day we’d have used up a “sketchy” guy like that as a warm up before going out drinking on a Thursday night.
They should have just tossed him onto the third rail.
Uhhh, me? I took a job in the Boston area moving from Indiana and gave myself one day to find a place to live. It wasn't hard. But then I'm a single guy with no family and only a dog.
Chicago is roughly 4 times the size of Boston though,I think that would make a difference.
.
Yeah even in Phoenix!
Maybe they should have moved to Naperville????
Could’ve been worse,
Could’ve been CARLOS DANGER!
How does one develop a ‘successful’ youtube business?
The inner cities either are (most of them), or are turning into little Third World city-states (NYC), with a mayor owned by business leaders that need a steady flow of uninformed white people to experience the ‘cosmopolitan culture’ (i.e., spend money), with a corrupt police force that is led by people that don’t even want to lock up criminals, an with a media that simply REFUSES to report on black-on-white crimes, since that actually could inform the white people that make up their financial lifeline.
Hate to be so blunt, but that’s pretty much what’s going on in these cities, but the flow of people into them to spend money stays virtually unabated because of the media blackout.
When you put up video that gets millions of views you get a share of the ad revenue.
It’s being done by two friends of mine. Very successful businesses before age 25.
Allowing advertisements on your YouTube videos. According to Forbes, last year a 25 year old Swede was the top YouTube earner raking in $12 million pretax. He makes video commentaries about video games and has 40 millions subscribers to his YouTube channel.
They look like missionary people and very sweet and innocent.
Young and want to move from a town of 40,000 to a city of 2.7 million because “there's more to do”.
I guess the excitement was too much though...:^)
Steve Dahl and company just flayed these two on WLS. Some of the funniest radio I’ve ever heard.
I realize they are millennials, and by definition somewhat stupid stupid, but they had to have known a little about the foul conditions of most any big city in the "ethnic" areas.
I chose not to go to a rally/initial meeting I wanted to attend just because it is in Chicago.
The blood that’s been shed there makes it an unholy piece of ground.
