The Commission on Presidential Debates has made its decision on who will be presiding over the 2016 face-offs between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
The debate on September 26 will be moderated by Lester Holt of NBC. Anderson Cooper of CNN and Martha Raddatz of ABC will co-moderate the second debate on October 9. Finally, Fox anchor Chris Wallace will host the third debate on October 19.

Be careful what you wish for. Hillary would love that: one super-candidate dominating one program and a bunch of also-rans squabbling by themselves on another.
Anderson Cooper is only half a man.
I don’t know if Trump has agreed to it.
However, Trump will stomp them all if he does agree.
He is not afraid of any of these hacks.
“Chris Wallace is a good choice, or the best we can expect.”
IMHO he is just as bad as the others.
Could have been worse...say, Anthony Weiner, Whoopsie Goldberg, and Don Knotts.
What the debates need is a moderator for the moderator.
100% agree!
First of all, there should be no moderators.
All four selected are bad - Trump and his team, RNC and Priebus need to call bullshit and make changes.
The worst of the lot is Raddutz, absolute liberal, anti-Trump, fell out of my chair when I saw her name.
The best is actually the alternate, Scully - he should do the all important, most viewed first debate - replace the liberal Holt.
Does anyone doubt that Lester Holt/NBC and Clinton campaign operatives will not be having daily conference calls on how to script this pseudo debate.
Does anyone doubt Hillary will have been given every question in advance and that she will be rehearsing her answers in front of focus groups prior to the pseudo debates?
Looks like the usual suspects. They will meet secretly with the Beast to review with her the softballs they intend to loft.
“But what about Trump?” she asks.
“Leave that up to us, dear.”
Both candidates should name three mods, and then they strike in turn—like choosing judges.
I can’t believe Trump would willingly run through a gauntlet of lefty hatchet-wielders.
At least the questions should be pre-screened by both candidates: no surprises, no `Gotchas!”
The whole old boy establishment is against Trump. The RNC is fine with these choices because their against Trump too, and will let the Left do their dirty work for them. As for the question, right at this very moment these Liberals are sitting around in boardroom conferences hard at work crafting gotcha question designed to intimidate, humiliate and embarrass Trump.
They will throw Hillary Clinton a few “gotcha Questions” that they will already have slipped her handlers earlier, so that she will be fully prepared to respond them with well prepared answers.
Are you serious?
Chris Wallace!......NO
People forget that Trump won againt 16 or so primary candidates while going to more than a dozen debates. He skipped a debate when Megyn Kelly was planning to ambush him. He is not naive. And the more obviously biased the media is, the higher he polls.
We must bathe this debate in prayer.
Trump is one gutsy guy—he will go where angels fear to tread. Why? Gotcha Questions will confirm his view (and his followers) that the Media is biased and will show how they are working overtime to get Hillary Elected. If he can hold them off—he will win the election. He must keep his cool, be up on his game. Don’t worry—they will give Hillary the questions before hand. Look for questions on Foreign Leaders names—Like who is the president of Bauchastan? Who is the Prime Minester of Butan? And if Trump doesn’t pronounce the name right they will jump all over him. This is a trick they used on Bush.
Vetting of the moderators would seem to be appropriate. Which party are they registered with, what is their past record of bias when their words are run through a checking system, have they donated to the Clinton foundation, etc.
Would love to see Trump say, “You reporters asked us to ‘raise our hands’ in one debate, so I want to ask you all to raise your hands if you are registered as a Democrat or if you are planning to vote for Clinton.”
It gets old seeing these dunces act so high and mighty and like they just know better about everything in the world than anybody else. They are almost all really shallow and rather dimwitted, oh and boring too.
I would leave the moderators in place, but make a few changes.
1. Both candidates must stand and there is no podium to stand behind.
2. The only handshake takes place at the end of the debate.
3. The moderator can only ask topical questions which are applied to both candidates. The mod cannot ask probing questions.
4.Any inkling of partisanship will result in a 10 year suspension to both the network and moderator from hosting any further debates.
5. There will be no network commentary on the debate either before or after the debate.
I would pay to see that.
question #1 to Helleri: why is Trump so racist?
